I don't fly fish, but I do love to fish and wouldn't mind having that one myself.Ya, I may never carry it but I just had to have it.![]()
Me either (neither?) but I do enjoy Case's Single Blade Large Trappers.I don't carry larger folders too often.
All this info/speculation about metal scales is intriguing.
But why do they call it CANVAS series??

That's what I think too, although I opened the email expecting to see canvas micartaMy guess it's because the handle is used as art canvas so to speak.
Edit:Hickory n steel beat me to it

There is a youtube video from the “hazy ridge” knife store where they discuss this with the Case representative at Blade Show. Also, they say they will pause or maybe even cancel production of these after this run due to problems with the manufacturing process. Hopefully hinting at future scarcity is not just a sales ploy.My guess is to suggest they're using these as a blank canvas, seeing as the many artistic designs.
The various executive series models have always had SS frames and I assumed the same for most of these , but using just 1 type of metal here makes the most sense, especially that they'd all be brass considering the engraved ones.
Sorry, I wasn't clear with my question, I meant the handles. Someone else further down the page has replied that they may be brass.
A hazy hurst guy interviewing a Case guy at a blade show was my source of information. Maybe mine was an earlier youtube. They said they were going to be a limited edition, but didn't mention production problems. There is a youtube video from the “hazy ridge” knife store where they discuss this with the Case representative at Blade Show. How do you order them? I can’t find them anywhere.
They are at a non-supporting dealer, which can't be mentioned here. How do you order them? I can’t find them anywhere.
I can't name the company , but if you Google Case knives they should be about the 4th listing down. How do you order them? I can’t find them anywhere.
If I had to venture a guess, I would say that’s an indicator that the pile side is unadorned.I watched all the vids I could find, and I kept hollering "turn it over" but I don't think they ever did.
Did we ever get a peek at the pile side? In one of the posted vids the color on a couple looked like it might go all the way around, but I could never catch them flipping one over,
