Spent the weekend in lovely New Paltz, NY. Visited the Woodstock-New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair, several wineries, two cider houses, and the Mid-Hudson Distillery. It was a lot of fun in beautiful upstate NY country!

Gotta guy coming over tomorrow to give me an estimate for tree removal. Not going to be cheap. It's a massive sweet gum tree. Tired of raking up the gumballs, plus, if it ever goes, it's going to hit something.

This was taken a few years ago, and there's another line of them not in the photo:

This guy didn't have a boom tall enough. Had another guy appraise it today. It's coming down next week, thank God. Tired of dealing with it.

Spent some time in the basement instead of the shop this weekend and build a guitar pedal. Calling this one the DHS-250++.

Built from components and bare enclosure on perfboard with a bunch of mods from the parent DOD-250 schematic.

Ok, that post is useless without a sound recording :p

Seriously ... Cool stuff!

I managed to get to the lake today 😁 I just took a telescopic micro- pole and a Cuban yo-yo reel. I rigged the little telescopic pole with 2 lb test a #14 hook and a tiny split shot. First a decent size bluegill feels like a whale on this pole. This is a public park that sees a lot of pressure. There was a dozen people fishing. I saw 11 bluegills caught, I caught 10 of them . The 11th was caught as I was leaving by a teenager who came over and asked how I was catching them. . I was dropping bread or a Wax worm hooked behind the head right against the seawall. First time I have been able to wet a hook this year :)

Got an oil change handled on the Z900RS, but was also blessed with an adjustment to the center stand. I bought the center stand as an accessory from Kawasaki. I then took it to my dealer for installation, which they handled, albeit incorrectly. It caused the side stand to protrude an abnormal amount. I only learned of the situation upon leaning left in a routine left turn. The side stand then promptly dragged and sparked, leaving a loud report. I got to the dealer Saturday for an oil change, but my hidden agenda was to have the center stand adjusted. I played my best loyal customer persona, which was successful in persuading the mechanic to give it the old 'college try'. He succeeded. Now I have both the side stand and a center stand, I'm happy, no more dragging!!

It really is a beautiful region! We visit at least once a year.

And, we’re saying “late 1900’s” now? I tease! lol

The Warrior The Warrior how is that new mower ?
I got out to mow and I had left the key on in my Gravely so I put it on the charger mowed the places that I have to use a push mower. That was a killer, that boot makes everything 5 times harder. Mowed some of the back yard with my old craftsman GT6000. But that's harder to control because the clutch pedal is on the left side. By that time my Gravely fired up and I got the rest of the yard done. I can't wait until I get rid of this boot my Gravely is faster as a walk behind than running a sulky. I may have to put the bush hog deck on it for the garden area

Runs great. I still have to use the push mower in a few places that the rider won't fit.

Great . My garage is in the basement looking out the back of the house the driveway goes down around the back. It leaves a circle that has to be mowed with a push mower. .
I'm mowing with a 30 year old classic
When I am not hobbled I don't use the sulky
