Cool mower. I've seen a few Gravelys on FB market place.

Started another trip around the sun yesterday. Didn't do a lot. I did grill myself a nice prime ribeye for dinner last night. It was delicious.

I have a Craftsman rider that my brother gave me after we bought our house in 2019. It's at the point where I'm putting money into it every year, but I've been able to fix everything myself so far. I suppose I'll have to invest in a new one eventually, but I'm going to run this one into the ground first.

if you lived closer, I'd offer you my old Craftsman rider that needs a muffler and PTO switch/safety.
it's pone of the yard tractors with cast iron axle that was made for them by Husqvuarna.

Happy birthday my friend. Yesterday was our 41st anniversary.
I've got a 93-94 craftsman. It is close to needing a new drive belt but otherwise it is still going strong but craftsman isn't the same as 30 years ago. I really don't know what I would look for in a new mower. I bought a big mower when I was head of facilities for the church three years ago my research for that I did discover cub Cadet has stepped up their game, but then the machines sold at dealership and big box stores aren't the same. My primary mower is a 94 Gravely professional 12 two wheel garden tractor running a 40 inch kidney deck. I also have a 30 inch bush hog deck that will cut up anything you can push over .

Started taking the tree down, but they have to wait until tomorrow to finish. There was no one available to take the power line down today. They don't want to risk it, and I don't blame them.

Better to be safe!
Definitely. The power line is another reason I wanted it down. Gum tree branches get very heavy with gumballs, and it makes the branches break easier. At least 2 times, and perhaps 3 times over the years branches have broken, and knocked the wire down.

When he cut off the top most section of the trunk, this happened, haha:

That would leave a mark if it hit you.
The guys trimming for the power company grabbed a couple limbs that blew down at the last wind storm and chipped them for me sweet gum isn't a good yard tree

No they're not. I can't imagine why anyone would plant one on purpose.

Several houses in my neighborhood have mature honey locust trees. Their pods get everywhere and nobody ever attempts to pick them up. What an eyesore!

I would bet the sweet gum trees get planted by squirrels.
Between getting out of the boot and wearing regular shoes, and I got out for a short bike ride I am starting to loosen up some

I appreciate that. This one is a 2012 Craftsman that got used pretty hard by my brother's kids before I got it from him. I would think that the motor should be good for a long time yet. I can fix pretty much anything else on it and still be money ahead. It can nickel and dime me for a long time as long as I can still find parts.

We had a pretty decent storm system roll through last night.
