I offered to remedy the situation by offering a partial refund and will not accept that nor a refund.

I do not understand why this man is blackmailing me, hoping a mod can step in here and help us sort this out professionally.

Since day one this man has threatened me and blackmailed me by threatening legal action and posting on here. I have tried to work with him, he obviously had it set out to try to ruin my reputation for reasons that are unknown to me.

I sold this man a Brous Strife, and since day one has threatened to ruin my reputation if I did not give him $50 for various reasons. I counter offered with $20 and he refused. I then stated that he can return the blade to me for a complete refund, and he REFUSED.

This man cannot be dealt with, I do not understand.

He had it set out for me day one, and has sent the most hostile messages.

I just want to be over with this man, I hate having this sort of hostility on what is otherwise such a great forum.

Without either party showing screenshots of correspondence it's anyone's guess as to who's telling the truth and who's not.

Threads moved and merged.

What kind of timeframe are we talking about?

All I want at this point is for the man to send me the knife so I can refund the money!

He refuses to, he demands $50 for the "imperfections" like a bit of lock stick. and that is his only offer...

I won't let him blackmail me for money!

I sold and immediately shipped the knife on FEB 28, he received it, was not happy with his described imperfections above.

We debated with offers to remedy the situation, we could not come to an agreement and so I requested he return the knife at his own cost, and I will provide a full refund! Which is how I believe is how it works.

He refuses this and then started this thread, and has been nothing but hostile to me, he left negative feedback on my profile, degrading my reputation here.

I have emails to back up all of this and so does he.

I would like him to respond to this post

Link to the sales thread would be nice, so we can see the description. Posting emails in a legible and chronological manner would also help.
Don't bother posting a giant unreadable wall of text, it's likely not going to help.
Also, one deal with absolutely no details provided does not qualify as "Hall of Shame" material, not by a long shot.

At various times he denied opening the knife and then admitted doing so; claimed that lock stick is normal, noted bearing noise as normal. He offered and then rescinded a partial refund and in general behaved poorly.

Finally, if you have had trouble with this seller, please contact me. I'd like to see him tossed from this forum.

I NEVER admitted to opening the pivot, I simply stated it was ADJUSTED, ADJUSTED does not mean I took it apart, I would never do that with a bearing knife, this knife was bought off another member, he must have done it. I HAVE PROOF OF THIS

I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM

If a moderator will contact me, I will share the correspondence with him or her. I do not wish to get into a p***ing match in public

Seems pretty simple. Just return the knife for a refund.

You can trust me to refund your money,

To cover my ass AND yours I am going to tell you to buy insurance and signature confirmation so there is no grey areas where someone could abuse!

We can get rid of the negative feeback so neither suffers! I don't think either had malicious intent...

I think the correspondence doesn't really matter at this point. The seller has publicly said he well take the knife back and refund you. What more could you possibly want?

Just undo the deal. By starting this thread, you've started the match.
Return the knife to get the refund, that is the way it works all over the place. Neither of you has any reputation to speak of that would provide enough justification to issue a refund just because. Get it done and move on. Anything else is going to end up with damaged reputations, I guarantee you that much.

Rick, we both want to continue enjoying our knife hobby, without damaged reputation on here. I have emailed you to get the return process started, or you can choose to keep the knife, please let me know.

Thanks! Lets get this sorted tonight.

He will refund the money upon his knife returning to him

Since no one will ever know who is telling truth here about the condition of the knife, both parties should pitch in half for the shipping cost returned which should be $6-9 a piece USPS first class insured with sig conformation. Nobody loses much and it's over with.

I did not understand why he would refuse the refund. I mean how much more can I do? I understand he wasn't happy, he found things about the knife that I didn't even notice. But to then refuse a full refund and try to damage my reputation?

Sometime I think people are malicious for the sake of being malicious and this event makes me question how much I want to sell on this forum, how often is this going to happen?

Just remember--There are FAR more better people..OUTSTANDING people belonging to BF
than immature malicious ones.
GET this reversed and never deal with each other again
Rest assured.........
Many ignore lists are growing due to instances JUST LIKE THIS..

You gonna stay in the shadows since you made such an issue rickpropas ???
He offered you a FULL REFUND.. Might want too pipe in...........?????????

IMHO if someone offers a return and full refund then there is no reason to open a thread and ask for intervention. I dont understand this mentality that if you buy a product and arent happy with it that you feel it gives you the right to demand new terms. Even if the knife had the said defects if a full refund is offered for the safe return of the knife then there is nothing left to argue. Even if you want to keep the knife and get money back that is all fine and well but what you want and what you are entitled to are completely two different things. And I think people need to be very very VERY sure of allegations before making them. In particular the accusations that the seller opened the knife. There are very very few ways to tell a knife was opened. In some cases there is no way to tell if it was done properly. So to accuse anyone of that without firm proof (of which there is no way to have any in this case) is poor form even if the knife had a few issues. My question is why so hesitant to send the knife back if it in fact has the stated problems? Either way it seems pretty sad it had to come to this point when it seems there were some ways to avoid it before it went this far.
