Comming Soon From REKAT!

I say let Rob have the #1 CF, since he designed it and all!

If I could just convince my wife that I needed another knife, I'd be in on this great deal too. Sigh....

Let Rob have #1, he did design it.

Now, can I have #2?(Beg, plead, wimper, whine)

Any way my order went in last night for one of the CF models. Any idea where I am on the list?

Spark,

What about a Talonite Version?

If you are going to have a Talonite Version soon I will wait but if REKAT has decided against a Talonite Version I will get a D-2 version.

Talonite would put it over $300 per - it's not out of the question, but it's not going to happen for more than a while, and we'd only get about 10 of them, if that.

The idea behind the Pikuni is to offer a "Super Neck Knife" with great steel and solid construction, for a reasonable price.

FYI - half of the Carbon Fiber Laminate / Satin Finish Pikuni's are now sold - so if you want one, you need to order quick, there are only 9 left.

Contoured G-10 sounds nice. What color? Will it match my green SIFU?

...or possibly my blue BladeForum's Native.

I did read that actually G-10 is actually green in its regular form, but do not know if this is true....or if it is whether it is the green of the SIFU.

Sparkman!

I just filled out the order form for a carbon fibre version and discovered at the end that you no longer accept credit cards from abroad. Does this hold even with previous customers (BF Sifu and To The Point)?

Anyhow, if you will only accept a money order, PLEASE can you hold one for me? I'm not at all keen on stonewashed blades, and am very keen on trying out a carbon fibre handled knife.

EDIT: Ordered #15 yesterday! Good luck on the project to all involed - I look forward to feeling the results

Yay - I'm in somewhere in the teens as well for the carbon fiber models...

Will the sheaths for the REKAT pikunis be the cool carbon fiber concealex like in the pic from Rob
cool.gif
, or will they be kydex?

Will the sheaths be the same exact design regardless of the material?

On a side note - which do you guys think will be better? The Camillus Talon, or the REKAT Pikuni ?

Thanks

zerozappa,

The sheath is going to be in the Carbon Fiber Concealex and the design has been changed a little to allow better grip acquisition and beefed up with thicker material to stay in line with REKAT's tradition of making products that stand up to hard use. As this is a neck/utility piece, the belt tunnel will be removable for less bulk when used in the neck knife mode. The Pikuni is one sweet little knife!!

Mike, I was very pleased when Bob told me you were making the sheaths, I have seen your work and you were definitely what I felt was the best choice. The Pikuni by REKAT with the River City sheath will be one great package!

Mike - Thanks for the info - it sounds like it's going to be an awesome package. I can hardly wait.

Thanks, Rob! Glad to join you and Bob on this project. The custom Talonite Pikuni used to make the proto sheath is one purrty little rascal. Didn't want to send it back!

I ordered 1 of each version and I'm psyched. The Pikuni does look real cool. I'm still a huge fan and have a strong desire for one of Rob's Cetans (drool...)

The man is just too popular (for my own good...)
