I was looking thru some of my pics last night and thought I might do a thread on some of the more compact stuff I use a lot in summer:thumbup:
Here's the pack. It's a Maxpedition Baby Condor? I think 2000 cu in.
Instead of bringing a stove I bring my hatchet and this Open Country Camp Boiler. It has multiple handles to facilitate using it over a fire. It also is about half a gallon capacity so you can store gear inside it to reduce space in your pack.
My personal dinner ware consists of the SS cup pictured with the pack (the titanium one is my wifes) and a Spork and an Orikasa folding bowl. (unfolded in this pic because I was using it to roll out bannock) The bowl folds totally flat and it and the spork are almost zero space:thumbup:
Also I posted before but the 40 degree down bag.
Also in my pack besides first aid, food and stuff is most of this stuff except for the GPS (it DIED) Also ditched the Brunton lighter due to reliability problems
Also have a poncho in there and one change of clothes.
In hot weather I have one set of hiking clothes and then one set to wear at night that are (mostly) clean.
Finally the tent REI Gimme Shelter since it sets up with trail poles and only weighs about 3 lbs and sleeps two(barely) it is great and very compact.
