Comparing your traditional knife edc traits

Frank, I think I will likely make you one before they create that version......I am starting to look for donor knives and materials.....300

I'm speechless. I have no suitable response.

So the 301 is 4" long. I like that a lot. Might have to get my first buck now. Thanks for bringing this knife to my attention

RG, The photo I showed is a custom modified version, the standard 301 is a three blade, with main clip, spey and sheepsfoot blade. Just FYI but try one anyway. I am just not a fan of the spey blade, I know guys that use it carving, and some other cutting needs but I never use one. Buck made a one blade 301, I think it is still in their current 2014 catalog, I don't see why they can't do a two blade for a while also.

Frank, I had two 301s modified by Leroy Remer and sent one to Joe Houser at Buck trying to get some grease under the wheel but no luck. Think I saw him and asked him about it, and he didn't really remember it..... Don't hold you breath waiting for one from me I am awful slow. But have good intentions.... 300

Here is a photo of a for sure currrent 301 Stockman you can check the length on. This current version has brass bolsters.

Thanks for the info 300. Im on the hunt for a 301 and think it will be my first knife I buy to take apart and mod. This will really hit the sweet spot for my edc needs/wants :D

No worries 300. I'm flattered that you would even consider it.

Note to self:
Add a set of those wood and brass beauties to the want list. Those are fine looking knives.

That really is a pretty niffty belt pouch. I'd say it would be great for most folks, but if I were in the woods, I'd want a flap of some kind to better keep me from loosing the knife. AG Russell carries a fairly nice belt pouch, but I don't think it's as nice as 300's pouch.

That looks like a Paul Long sheath. His handle here is sheathmaker.
