I just walked in from working on this one, a tricky compound hollow to "wrap around" convex grind. The convex wraps around to form the swedge.

I've tried that once, and the outcome was not nearly as flawless. Good stuff, D! Really good stuff!

This thing looks killer!

Nice! Now were talking!

What will the handle treatment be?

2nd dibs?! :D

LOL......Dan, I knew that this knife was going to shine, even when I only saw its basic bones. You are going to knock it out of the park.

Thanks!

This one was tricky... easier to do this style with a 1" wide wheel I hear. I'm really happy with the outcome so far! That's straight off the grinder.

He's a maniac, maniac, on the (shop) floor. And he's grinding like he's never ground before.

I'm going with either Carbon Fiber or Double Black Canvas Micarta... will likely acid wash for final finish.

4th dibs it is!

This is my last piece of S7 out of over 40 feet I have ground... time to buy some more!

I got some more done on this one today, it is getting closer!

Deep dish hollow to thick convex...

Lots of taper to the tang! I also hollowed the tang a bit to reduce weight. It's still crazy strong!

Lapping the Carbon Fiber flat. This CF is handmade in the USA. (steel is USA made too)
