I have another one of these on the way, with a half sweat guard, and O.D. This is what I wear for OWB, and for IWB I wear a RM holsterworks Lowrider. Both are awsome.
This is pictured with my GEN 4 17, but I carry my 19 in it normally.

I prefer something a little softer. If your looking for something for conclealed carry that's less expensive but high quality, look at High Noon Holsters. I have been using their Bare Asset and Mr. Softy for my Smith and Wesson M&P and my Ruger SR9c.

I actually plan to get the canted one.....bare asset I think.....to try out a plain nylon/cordura sheath IWB.

There are some guys on the glock forum that make sheaths like the mtac and crossbreed. I really like the MTAC style so I'm not too sure what to do. I know one of the guys will leather-line the kydex and I really like that idea.

I carry a Glock 22 Gen 4 with TLR-1S in a Comp-Tac C-Tac Light bearing holster. Awesome holster and the most comfortable I have had even with the light attached.

I like the kholster. Dont have much to say about it except its cheap and does everything I need out of a CC holster.

Glock 19 in a Raven Concealment, love it! This is set up as a OWB, but with a set of replacement clips it converts to IWB. This gun has the rough RTF2 handle finish, so I like the full holster coverage on the body side. About $80 delivered and a ~3 month wait. CS was extremely good, with emails outlining when it made, shipped, and a follow up asking how I liked it. Money well spent IMO, and it carries like a dream...

Assuming that by 3-5 you are talking about your carry positions. I carry in the 5 position and use the Bare Asset by www.highnoonholsters.com. Great holster, stays open for easy one hand drawing and reholstering. Great customer service too

Have any pics? Which do you prefer Mr Softey or Bare Assets? Is the a noticeable deferents in the ride ht?

mr. softy is vertical - appendix iwb carry to back side or hip.
bare assets - same sheath but has a 15' cant.

They are both about $30. I'll prob. try out the Bare Assets as I'll want the cant for 4 - 5 wear.

Yup I saw that. I was just wondering if he had any usage pics and how much difference the holsters rode like there website says?

Just Ordered a bare asset for the short term but a comptac minotaur is definitely in my future. I always hear great things about them.

I've carried daily using a Kramer Leather IWB #3 in horsehide for many years. I'm not against Kydex; I just prefer leather. The holster is comfortable, doesn't collapse, and looks brand new after years' worth of carry. They're a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, right. Besides, you'll never have to order anything else.

For mags, I prefer a Mitch Rosen 5DM carrier. It holds well to the body and conceals nicely. Plus the wells are formed, and the carrier itself it curved to the contour of the body.

Get a good belt, and a true gun belt at that. Look at Galco, Bianchi, 5.11, etc. They all make good belts. My current belt is a 5.11 Operator nylon belt. It adjusts perfectly, and is comfortable. Before that it was a butt-ugly Bianchi that I got used for nothing. I don't care - no one is going to see my belt anyway. It's concealed with everything else.

Whatever carry option you choose, PRACTICE, DAMMIT! Practice your draw over and over. Practice your draw with several different covering garments. Do this unloaded/safe, and then do it again on the range. After that, repeat constantly until you can't figure out how the gun materialized in your hand. I can't tell you how many people I've known who needed a gun "right now" and couldn't draw it because they failed to practice.

I will post a couple of pictures in this thread for you. I just got the one with the 15 degree cant. Trying to figure out which I like better my self. It's hard to tell because I have the straight for my SR9c and the 15 degree cant for my M&P 40. The SR9c is thinner and seems to be more comfortable by its nature so I'm having a hard time telling which holster I like better.

High Noon also makes the split decision and hidden ally which is suppose to ride lower than the Bare Asset or Mr. Softey and I think you can tuck your shirt in with those lower riders.

anyway I'll edit this thread and get a couple of pictures up in a minute.

While the Ruger looks like it's riding lower I think it's just the way the different guns ride in their holsters. It could have just as easily went the other way.
Now after changing both so quickly I can honestly say the Ruger / straight holster feels better for what ever reason.

Hope this helps everyone.

Thanks Hitthespot. User pics always look better. The clip is pretty thick or the guns are just small? You happy with the build? I need a different holster for my G27. Looks like a good light leather. The 15º probably would be better on the 4-6 O'Clock position

I think your canted holster might feel better if you move it back to 4 o'clock or so....that way the handle follows the contour of your hips better. Can you try that and let me know if it feels better at 4 to 5 o'clock?

Obsessis,

In the 4 O'clock position it is pretty comfortable. I will try it there the rest of the day and see what I think. I don't like 5 and 6 O'clock positions because when I'm in the car I always feel like my gun is wedged between my back and seat. Uncomfortable to me.

Ironmike86,

As far as the build I haven't had them long enough to tell how durable they are. Maybe in another 6 months. I been using the straight everyday for my Ruger with around 4 weeks on it, no problems.
