Concerns about greed in Giveaways? Impossible!

All human life is here....

Certainly there are Jackals on the look-out for a freebie, it get's even more offensive when they decide to brazenly sell on their winnings. Karma may katch them:cool:

In the GAWs I've held I only hold them on one subforum, I set conditions e.g. minimum No. of posts there, if I don't recognize them then their post becomes void..if they obviously don't even know what the knife is that voids them too. In the end I decide.:D

However, most people taking part in GAWs do seem to have a valid interest, do follow the conditions/contributions. It is very rewarding to hear from a winner a bit later that they are pleased with the knife, are using it and it may have opened up a new vista in their collection, those genuine responses make it worthwhile.

Thanks, Will.

I was the winner of the GAW you are talking about. I have never entered a GAW before this one. I can tell you first off that I am truly grateful to have been the winner of the Alan Davis custom. I never in a million years would have thought I would be the winner.

I never entered thinking of being greedy and just wanting something for free. I entered the GAW thinking it would be great to win but no big deal it If I was not the one. But if I did win, it would become a knife I would cherish and use. I have made a lot of friends on here since 2006 and have made a great friend with Alex as a result of being on here.

I can understand the frustrations of people just specifically looking for a GAW.

I will say that I now I will be doing my own GAW in the future, to give something back to the wonderful people if BF.

Great move Gizler! Karma always goes full circle. I always believe that if you try to create a balance in your life you help the universe in sorting itself out. =)

Congrats again Mark,

I am glad you are enjoying it!

I am smiling right now, and I am sure I will for a long time at your reaction when I emailed you that you had won!

Thanks my friend.
