I'm holding out judgment on the Tactana until I can see one in person, but it honestly doesn't do much for me. I'm mostly excited about the fact that Condor can now do steel guards on stuff. I'm mostly excited for the Matagi, Bushcraft Parang, Speed Machete, and Crocodilian.

Are the specs correct on the "6mm" thickness of the Crocodilian Machete ? Thats pretty darn thick, (0.236") which is just fine by me. Just wondering also, is this in response to the "much love" the Cold Steel Bushman & Bushman Bowie are getting but also people wishing it was thicker ?

On my list now: Warlock Machete, Discord Machete, Tactana

The Bushcraft Parang looks to be about the right size for general woods bumming, and outdoor use. Looks pretty darn useful. I'd like to have that one or the Village Parang, I might be a bit more partial to the village Parang due to its more traditional styling. But aesthetics aside, both would be fine tools.

That tactana, depending on the price point, could sway me from the zombietools.net apokatana. I collect swords, so I would mind having them both, but I need them to be functional for cutting demonstrations. The apokatana, so far, is perfect for what I am looking for. It has a lower price point than any of the real swords out there, and it is cheaper than the CS series of swords. If the Tactana is lower than $400, I have pretty much found my wakazashi.

And I still haven't seen the Kukri in stock at my local (read, not international) dealer, and I know they've received multiple shipments.
Condor is on a roll!
A 1/4" thick 12" blade one piece knife,:eek: and the Bushcraft Parang and Discord look pretty sweet.

Well ??? :D

Matagi = CS Bushman

Yes. But, maybe bringing back the CS quality that used to be in the Bushman. Improvement in the steel already and made in El Salvador. And... most importantly... paracord wrapped handle!

To be honest I don't know! But I imagine it's accurate. I think it's playing off the fact that socket-handled knives and choppers are fairly scarce on the market right now in spite of their popularity in the form of the Bushman series. I'm pretty sure there's at least one more socket handled model on the drawing board--it just didn't make the cut this year due to their scaling back on models so they could focus on QC and production/delivery speed.

The Matagi is actually inspired by Ainu bear hunting knives.
