Congrats Brian! (bgoode)

Way to go Brian! Man it's been hard keeping my mouth shut... :D You earned every bit of your happiness, keep up the good work. Can't wait to get my own issue and see that bad boy for myself.

CREX - Your right ;) I didnt swing a damn thing this time either. I have a new shop space on the way so I hope to get that forge going at some point. To tell you the truth I think I am a little nervous about forging. Not that I dont think I can do it but it has TOTALLY different method of producing a blade. I'll get there ...in time... plus you guys were having so much fun I just liked watching. :D I have takled to Chuck (NC) about coming to his place to hit a little early next year.

J. Neilson - I didnt pay to get in the back of the 2005 book. I just went out and bought it once I found out I got in the back. I may have misspoke and jumbled up my post. I sure liked seeing some good stuff in this years book. Full color too.

OK, I must have misunderstood, not enough coffee. :D

I'm still checking my mailbox, can't wait to get my copy and see the picture.
Again, great job!!!

anyone know when it hits the stands?
Thanks again for the thumbs up.
Happy Turkey Day!!! :D

Brian,

Even though I already responded to this wonderful news I wanted to later come back and give a better say about this when more time permitted.

I did not figure you wrong did I. From almost your beginning here I saw something special in you. I want you to know that you have made me proud in that I was correct in my beginning suspicions. It makes little difference to me whether your destination is knife making or another craft perhaps not yet discovered. Regardless of which, you have got what it takes. You have, to me, proven both patience and supreme determination. If there was, as I wish we would have here on BF, a newbie of the year award you would have been my choice during your first year at knife making.

Roger

Congratulations, Brian! From what I've seen, you certainly deserved your spot in the mag! I've been nothing but impressed by the work I've seen you post and by your customer service, and it's good to see you getting recognition.

rlinger - You are too kind Sir.! ;) THis has made my Thanksgiving even that more thankful to have support like this!!

Needle - Start your knife soon...and I think I'll make one for me. I like the design we decided on :D

A good Holiday to All. I think I gained 15 lbs. yesterday BEFORE the 3 o'clock meal at my inlaws.
