Actually he won for the Buckeye Burl bowie... , unless more than one was submitted.
Congrats Matt! It couldn't have gone to a nicer or more deserving guy. In case you didn't know, it's Matt's first show ever!
Here's a link with several photos through the construction - with all due respect matt, the photos don't do that knife justice! http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=406038&highlight=buckeye
Congtats Matt.
Hard to see that one coming.
Especially considering the speed they disappear when he puts one up here in the For Sale forum.
Admired Matt's knives since I've been here.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Matt got this. His knives were cleaner and more elegant than most of the Journeymansmith knives I saw at the show.
Great guy too. Talked to him on several occasions at the show. Very very friendly.
Thanks guys! I had a blast. Winning the award is a real honor and I'm very proud of it. I just got in, and I'm exhausted. I'll post my opinions of the show tomorrow after some sleep .
