All right, now that I'm awake I can post something coherent
. The show was an absolute blast, I saw some great knives, some not so great knives
, met some fantastic collectors and makers, and got great feed back and tips for making better knives.
Honestly, I'm still in shock. Some great makers entered the contest. I told myself I wouldn't look at the table before I set the knife down, I did
. When I came back to the table I told my wife and Dan I didn't have a chance.
Point Seven took a photo of the piece, but I couldn't get a copy or even see the photo. By the time I found out the knife had to be photographed a second time it was long gone. That was pretty disappointing.
I'm already chomping at the bit to get back to work; the award was very encouraging. In fact, I'm going to do a little forging this afternoon

Riad, I remember that piece. That was a little over two years ago I think. Second or third knife I sold. I hope it's still seeing daily use.
