Below is a CV 4 1/8" Case 6488 Congress. The year of manufacture for this knife is 1972 (8-dot). As seen in the below pictures, this knife has four different style blades (large sheepfoot, large spear, small coping, small pen). All four blades have half stops. It is interesting (to me anyway) that Case treats both the large Sheepfoot blade and the large Spear blade as master blades on this Large Congress. Note that both blades have the same "Case Tang Stamp" on each blade. The bolsters are nickle-silver, the liners are brass, and the shield is pinned. Also, note that Case was still cutting a scallop in the frame and cover (both sides on this knife) for easier access to the nail nick for the two small blades when this knife was made.

Very nice thanks for posting, nice knife. I have yet to get a Congress pattern but I have been eyeing some.
So is that similar in size as a large stockman?

I really like the large spear blade, instead of the duel sheepsfoot.

This is mine

I've been looking for one with more blade options, hard to find. I have had my eye on the Boker Carvers congress.

Yes. It is 4 1/8" long closed.

Nice Case. Delrin?

I really prefer a slim half congress, but have quite a few full congress knives, though few pics of them.

This has been my EDC for several months and its aged a bit since this photo was taken.

Here's a few of my half congress knives.

I have one Congress, a small Boker 5452 that I bought (as its first owner) NOS at the beginning of the year.

I love the frosted etch on the main blade:

Nice Case. Delrin?

No, it is bone. The lighting wasn't the best (raining today) when I took the pictures and the covers appear darker and more uniform than they really are.

Nice one, Ed. I've wanted a Case 88 pattern for a long time, but I guess I'm just too cheap. The closest I've come was this S&M.

Very nice Ed. I have never owned or really wanted to own a congress but that one of yours sure is a looker.

Some nice looking Congress knives folks!
Here's a few that I have. I've posted these pics before but they fit the bill, so here they are again. I'm fairly new to the pattern but I like the utility of the blade configuration and the history behind it. I always thought it was pretty cool that Lincoln carried one. I believe he had one in his pocket at Ford's Theatre, the night he was assassinated.

Here's a Case 8 dot Half Congress from 1972 and a Rick Menefee Half Congress.

Here's one that is a little different. It's a Reverse Congress, Schrade/Kious collaboration. Nice little knife.

The picture was from A.G. Russell's website.

Here's a GEC #61 Half Congress I got a short while ago.
