"Congress Roundup" - Let's see your Congress Pattern Knives

That is a great old Case Congress. I really like it that Case used 4 different blade types for their Congresses.

My only one is this 1950's ish Boker...it's seen better days, but a little TLC brought all 4 blades to scary sharp again...I wish I could have seen this one in it's glory days...

Before I bought my first I wasn't quite sure of the reverse curve but I figured it had purpose as the Congress is such an old pattern. I started with a Case medium Congress in the Deep Canyon handles, it's a sweet knife and after doing a little whittling showed me why it had its shape, feels just right. So that led in short order to a GEC Easy Pocket Congress whittler, an Eye Brand mini half-Congress, an S&M mini-Congress in abalone and finally a GEC just like Biglmbass' showed in his post.

My favorite is the Easy Pocket Congress since it's a whittler blade configuration. One of these days I'm going to buy a full size German made Congress to compare with all my US versions, though I can't decide between a Boker, Hen and Rooster or maybe even an older Fight'n Rooster or Bulldog. A Congress Jack would be nice too...

Just got my first Congress a couple of days ago. Love the curve of the spine. GEC #61 in snakewood.

A little off topic, but I would like it if GEC or Case would make a reproduction of Abe Lincoln's 6 blade congress. I am just surprised a U.S. manufacture never produced one. Sorry for being off topic.

Another of GEC's so-called "Wharncliffe" Congress patterns, made before they started producing real Wharncliffe blade profiles in lieu of these peculiar low-shouldered sheepsfoot jobs.

That is one interesting knife. I'm on the hunt for one now!

The place I bought that one from still has a couple listed, redbone like mine and genuine pearl. E-mail or P.M. me for the info if you are interested.
