[Contest] Any love for the Fehrman Thru Hiker?

i would love to give that to my cousin for his boy scout outings he would be so happy getting a knife from his cousin nick :)

ha didn't read the rest of the thread give it to the soldier

hey Noodlefish! let me dig thru my knife room. I may have something for you to give to your cousin. I'll get back to you

i have to say the one who deserves it is the guy giving it to his step son. i did 2 years in iraq and a year and afghanistan and would have definitely loved to have a blade like that.

i will say i would like the knife to give to my brother who is getting into camping. i am sure he would be extremely appreciative for sure. either way its very generous of you sir

Just caught up on this thread and I'm with everyone else...give it to the one going to Iraq.

Saying that if it was me going to Iraq I think I'd like something a little larger and pointier...the new Scrapyard Regulator Bowie comes to mind !!!

Why do I need this knife? Because I have never had a knife in 3V and I don't think the handle is weird at all. It looks like a knife I would proudly carry and use(after I pried it away from SWMBO of course).

After reading further, although I would love to own such a knife, if a man going to the sandbox wants a good knife I would not refuse him.

I would love to put some scales on it and give it to one of my Scouts. He doesn't have a knife and his parents can't really afford much for him. I had thought about making him one but I'm a married grad student with 2 kids so finding the time to be able to do it is pretty tough...

Regardless of who you give it to I think it's pretty awesome that you're offering it. I have been thoroughly amazed at the generosity of the members here at Bladeforums.

Good on ya!

I need that Fehrman for my lovely wife because the steel is very high class and she deserves the best !!!!
Also because a smaller knife would suit her much better than this beast she has in the pic !

you afraid there Pitdog? :D

Thanks for the chance Rotte....You da man.

EDIT: Upon reading Caines reply, I say give it to the man goin to war.

I think you should send it to me so I could...(A) have a chance to study the characteristics, properties, and feel of S30V so I'd have some working knowledge on it when it comes up in threads and then (B) send it to Caine so he could send it with his step-son to Iraq.

I don't know...she looks pretty comfortable with that knife to me. Could it be that you find that worrisome ?

.

i dont need it, but since college is a money pit i would give it to my friend that needs a good blade, who is also trapped in the college money pit. i dont think the handle looks that bad.
thanx for the chance.

I would love to give it to my 13 year old nephew. He doesn't have enough money to get a decent knife himself and recently took up an interest in bumming around in the woods with me, camping ect. I think the handle size would fit him nicely, and he would for sure appreciate it a lot more then me. I love it that he is interested in this type to thing considering most kids just play video games all the time nowadays.

Thanks for the chance, whoever gets it will greatly appreciate it Im sure!

I've heard about Fehrman but never really explored their knives. That looks to be a great EDC like the Izula and I would like to put it through the paces and see what Fehrman is capable of.

Also, We likes it precious. We has a birthday on this coming Wednesday and we needs a present for ourselves. We must have it precious. We must have it for our Birthdays! We must! We must!

Hi Rotte,
I would really like to have it. I don't have a Fehrman and I don't have a neck knife and it would come in very handy.
However, I see that this is not reason enough for me to have it.

I don't think I would feel decent about myself it I didn't say: Give it to the solder.

Thanks for the opportunity and have a great day.
Jason

Sorry, no real story. All I have are moras and I don't think I could depend on them in a sticky situation. The sheaths on my mora is loose too. I would put this knife to good use during my outdoor excursions from skinning to carving. I also have smaller hands so it might be mora comfortable. Thanks for the opputunity.

I would like to give it to my step son to take to Iraq

my vote is to caines son as well.
no one deserves it more than somone risking there life to protect our country!

The guy going to Iraq deserves it but....I want it and I would carry it to work in a front pocket sheath I will make for it .I don`t know about a good reason other than I would like to try it ,I have been lusting after one for a while (I hear good things about the steel and maker) but knife money is a scarce thing right now .I think it`s pretty cool of you to give it away when you could have sold or traded it ,some of the best people are knife people. Thank you for the chance I will send you a pic of the pocket sheath if I win.

Awesome that you would give it away.

But, I won't enter, I probably would fail to fall in love with it... So, better that someone else get it.

But, a great give-away!
