Totally random, combination of Latin words for Eat and for Cat- so, ehh, eater of cats.
If that makes some cat lovers uncomfortable, then how about:
1. Shadow (male)
2. Hydra (female)
 
Male or female, this is a generic name---Alox.

I know that you and I share something in common---we're Vic lovers. Seems logical to have a smooth name like that for a pet. :D

"Tarch" or "Tarchin," means "cinnamon" in Turkish. Has strong consonant sound that a snake can hear. He/she won't respond, mind you, but he/she can hear it.

Male: Holmes - as in John, big snakes and all. You can always say it was named after some random storybook detective and give them an implausible story for why you chose the name ;-)

Female: Muffy (for the neighbors poodle that she will eventually eat.)
 
M- Basilisk (basil for short) or Rocky

F- Cleopatra (cleo for short) or Siva Saysa (pronounced Sheeva Shaysa)
