CONTEST: Guess the number and value of custom knives I own!

AND THE WINNERS ARE....

MADCAP MAGICIAN with a HOLE IN ONE guessing 60 knives!

Lindy with a birdie shot at $88,000!

The actual calculated value was $89,250.00 which is DAMN NEAR the 1% mark , but not quite. So....Lindy may have his choice of a William Henry ironwood S-07 plain edge OR a carbon fiber Microtech (sorry M/A) CMX-5. Please PM/e-mail me with you "real names" and addresses and I will try to get the prizes out on Monday!

I will try to post a pic of all the customs if I don't get too brutalized on-call this weekend.

For those interested, the big players for me are Warren Osborne with 12 knives 6 engraved, including 3 autos. 5 knives from Scott Sawby, 4 from Kenny Steigerwalt, 3 from Aaron Frederick, 2 each from Fred Carter, Joe Kious and Frank Centofante. 1 each from Michael Walker, Ron Lake, Don Hanson, Buster Warenski, Jack Busfield and Hank Ishihara

Those 36 knives account for more than 80% of the collection's value, since many are engraved. RWS actually came pretty close to deciphering the work, but I still had to count alot of the stuff I acquired early on which threw off the numbers. Alot of those knives were shown in The Gallery or the Custom Knife forum which I thought was the biggest clue I could give as to what I collected:D

Wow... thanks a lot for doing this! I never really pay attention to any of these after I enter... but I found your PM when I was contacting Cougar to report a spammer. Thanks!

This is definately some good news after a bad run of luck, I mean really? who steals a man's work shirt while he's on break? Anyway, thanks a ton MarcAngel for the opportunity. I guess I've now got a tough decission on my hands. Very impressive collection by the way. I'll be sure to drop you an email in the near future. Cheers.

Ok, here goes...... I am figuring 9 knives a year for 5 years = 45 knives

I am figuring an average of ...... $635 per knife for the type of knives you have described.

So..........ta...da.............. my guess is 45 knives and $28,575

Send me the loot.

Thanks for the contest.

Oops. i just noticed this was over, I was off a bunch anyway. Congrats to the winners.

"The actual calculated value was $89,250.00" not bad, but did you calculate how much you did pay in reality?
With the discount you might have optain, the good opportunities, etc?

Just wanted to say that I got my little flashlight and my Leatherman... if the school hadn't said I couldn't carry my knife I wouldn't have had a problem opening the damn package, but I eventually gnawed it open, lol. Just as he said it would be. Thanks a lot Marcangel!
