Forget cooking challenges. You can't taste across the internet. Looking good is one thing, but remember, Ethan's whole life, has been about the taste buds.

I see it now. Final photo of wet Beckerhead being lead off by six of Gotham's Gestapo because he was seen with a blade longer than Mayor Bloomberg's pinky.

I would say keep it in your house but they probably have big brother cameras everywhere by now, haven't been in the city in ten years lol.
 
I'd like to see what the "best of" Ethans contests are. Perhaps it is some of those that should be the repeating contests. Any thoughts on getting a poll of all of the old contests going to figure that out?

I'd make one, but I don't believe that non-paid members can make polls :(.
 
Other than crafts skill, and for our urban folk, what about something having to do with pictures of your knife in a place where one would not think, like most outrageous location, most exotic, coldest, highest, farthest from ____, etc. My creativeness leaves a lot to be desired, so hopefully this gives someone a better idea (that is also legal!)...

The ones I really like to see are....

Build shelter with only one becker knive...

Fishing with items packaged only in scales...
 
What about making an Atlatl and arrows (darts???) with a Becker knife, and then shooting something with it. Winner judged by most effective atlatl
 
Not a Beckerhead, yet, but hope springs eternal. Meanwhile, what about something that most could participate in regardless of weather-though geography could be a problem- such as
take a set size piece of wood, say a 2x6 (ok I know that standard American sizes are nominal) 24 inches long and show us what you can make using only your favorite Becker or Beckers. Time limit one month. End result of your choice but certainly some extra points for 'useful' things. City dwellers can do it, country livers can do it. Not sure about the out of USA folks but maybe the size can be stated as not larger than and not smaller than to include all.Wood choice to the maker.
Start date with photos due on or before end date. Photos must include sufficient views of knife (knives) used to allow proper identification by Beckerheads.
Sounds pretty tame doesn't it? Of course if someone makes a bear trap out of a short piece of 2x4 well there you go.

Updated for two I missed. I put in July 2012 cause we had an idea, it just didn't happen.
