Contest Ideas brainstorm - for Ethan

I think trap making, using cordage you make yourself is a good idea for a contest. I wouldn't enter per se, but would love to learn the process.

When I first started to browse the BK&T forum what kept me coming back was the contests and challenges always happening. I though you guys were all crazy building these shelters, fish spears, blow guns, and wearing watermelons on your heads eating crazy stuff. For some reason my favorite was the fork contest. Everybody carved a fork out of wood and ate something with it. Very simple very cool. A lot of good ideas here though. I'd like to learn trap making. Never tried that before.
 
Do it man! No other way than to have at it.

But another trap contest would be fun. Maybe, where we have to make something up that's not already known? I've got some materials kicking around that I should go and se if they'd even work.

Been wicked busy here, between the ops schedule and 2-3 additional duties I picked up, I barely have time to fondle my knives anymore, but all that is about to change, my time is coming to an end here. :thumbup: Thanks for asking, K9! I still owe you some pictures, haven't forgotten!

My wife wants a set of checkers. If we had a contest to see who could make a checker with the best Becker logo on it that would be great. After the contest you can send me the checkers. :)

I dont know If there has been something like this, but what about making a spoon and bowl? Use your Becker to carve a spoon and a bowl and then use them. Judged by most functional and nicest looking set. mostly judged by most functional.

hmmm.... How about something about acquiring drinking water/containers in your area? only can live 3 days without water right?
