Looking at the Drag Strip thread I'm thinking 1/4 mile translates into 14 February. And that both Jerry and Dan "love" the event-- confirms the date.

In the Final Nursery Ryme thread the only capital letters in the text were RV = R = 18 th letter another 1/8 and V =22 or .22 which could be thickness of the 8 inch knife. This is also an appocolypse or revelation scenario (see below)
In the "look within thead" we see "thin" which could be an option for those so inclined,
In the "something better than corn" thread, the answer lies within grasshopper. Grass hoppers have hearts, don't they?
Put it all together we get some possibles, which are:
