Blade award: 1992 (WAG)

The book is "The Joy of Cooking", first published in 1931.

Now I'm going to bed, as I have to be up at five for work...

Burke,
Damn, you are fast! You are correct on question #2...the JOY of COOKING was first published in 1931 and Ethan is Co-Author, along with his Mother and Grandmother! You are incorrect, however about the BLADE AWARD.

Question #1 and the BK&T MACHAX are still up for grabs!!

Well, the Joy of Cooking is my favorite cookbook...so I ran downstairs and looked on the copyright page...almost killed myself on the stairs in the dark...like I said, just a WAG on the first question; guess it wouldn't be kosher to guess again...now I'm going to bed. I mean it this time. Really.

Da++ I knew tha part about the Joy of Cooking. Can't believe Burke was that fast.

Off to look of the other answer.

Let no one ever from henceforth say one word in any way countenancing war. It is dangerous even to speak of how here and there the individual may gain some hardship of soul by it. For war is hell, and those who institute it are criminals. Siegfried Loraine Sassoon

Hmm, as memory serves (or not), I'm going with 1984.

There are two rules for ultimate success in life.
Never tell everything you know.

If I can guess again I would say 2000.
Since the results will be in the November 2000 Blade Magazine and I believe Camillus introduce the Becker line at the Blade Show that must be it.

In 1998 the CUDA (Camillus Ultra Design Advantage) won Most Innovative American Design, but in rereading the trivia question, it asks about Becker Knife and Tool not Camillus generally.
