Good luck to everybody (but more for me)

Here is an old knife I have, not traditional in the sense of a Kephart or Roach Belly but still a bit of a classic.....

These two knives were made by a friend of mine in his primitive forge from a chunk of old car spring.

I guess firepistons are pretty "traditional" too.

How about a waxed cotton rucksack and a leather possibles bag?

Throwback to when it was the size of the bullet that mattered, not the size of the magazine.

My favorite hand-forged bowie. Big, but very light and quick in the hand.

Sometimes the old ways are best. This is how we heat Casa de Rooikat.

I'm in... sort of. Enjoy the pictures! As much as I would LOVE to win the Roach Belly, I have already been lucky enough to win your anniversary knife contest which was incredible. Since I have already won a fantastic knife I want to sit this one out in hopes that someone who does not have pleasure of owning one of your fine knives has a better chance. Thanks for such a kick a$$ contest and prize.

This is the first "custom" knife I bought over 25 years ago. It's a bowen and it has remained one of my favorites over the years

Well John mentioned hunting shacks so here's a picture of my uncle's camp that I hunt out of each season.

This is a view from the porch of camp and the building in the picture is the sauna, a traditional fixture of any true UP hunting camp. There's no better way to wind down after a cold day in the woods then sitting in the sauna with a cup of bourbon.

Here's a view of the whole camp from the front, my jeep is in the frame. My cousin set up his pop up blind in the parking lot as a joke, telling people who would stop in that it was his spot for the season.

Let`s see now, only 19 guys are interested in a free knife? Looks like this one will be a real popular model!

Not really for outdoor, but it sure is traditional:

It's my great grandfather's straight razor, I use it frequently.

Not really outdoor, but Opinels have been there for decades:

Here's my entry. A muzzleloader my dad put together, that's taken a few deer. The top knife pictured came from Germany, a friend gave it to my dad years ago. It's cleaned several deer also.
