Hoodoo

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

OH WAYNEEEEE.................
I would hardly consider myself a 'big time player' on the Benchmade Forum. But thanks for the compliment anyway, though it is undeserved. I am really a newbie to computers and forums as well. But not to knives.......
( Could not even turn a computer on a couple of months ago,but hey I'm gettin better--learning more every day. Fore long I might even learn how to do 'quotes' and the 'faces'. When I do, look out; I'll really be dangerous.)
I really never considered myself a 'knife expert' but according to your criteria of qualifications....guess what....I are one.......
So since I now are one, here is what I think about your 'inherent problems' list of the AFCK.
You are full of it to the point of overflowing.
While the AFCK is far from 'my' favorite knife, what you say about it is pure 'crap'. You could 'make' those four things happen w/ any folder of equal size and length. Anything can be abused and torn up, you should know that Wayne; you 'know' "your mechanical systems". Come on now boy. Get w/ the program.......... or stick w/ what you know something about..
OH yeah, this is not and has not been an attack; Wayne. A true attack is something that one does not see coming and most likely will devistate said one. You don't feel devistated do you Wayne? I hope not. This has all just been light hearted play, not the real deal............

JB, (fellow 'big time BM forum player)

BT2 is not good, your right.
Thanks for the words to Wayne on my behalf but do not fret. If wayneeee thinks his 'brush' is big enough to 'paint me' he can have at it.
Thanks,
"big time player" ?????????
"knife expert" (according to 'The Critera of

You are quite welcome. I am actually rather fond of Alabama. If I was to move it would be among my top choices. Btw, I just got a Benchmade 940 today. It is perfect. I am expecting an M2 stryker on the 25th. I hope it is perfect also. Remeber we can not all like the same brands or knives..BORING! For example, I got rid of my small sebenza because I did not like it!.....is that lightning??

Brian
The first knife was probably used to cut stuff.

I was just 'going on' about Alabama Brian, it's a great place; I like it a lot.

And your right diversity is what makes the world go round.

I really like the 940.And like yours, all of mine have been perfect. Hope you like it.

I've been thinking real serious about a Sebenza. If you don't mind sometime when you get a spare moment how about emailing me your experience w/ them, I've only seen pictures. You know, likes, dislikes, etc.

A private email will be fine, so as not to start WW III.

Thanks again for smiles help,

Sorry teacher if I got the wrong end of the stick with you. I did not intend to insult you. Friends? BTW you are right over the post about the 750BM it is a knife I love. Whatever people say about me I like a well made BM knife IMHO they are very good knives when they are good.

e-utopia I accept that thin Ti liners would cause the problems I have seen in all my AFCK's. Fair comment I think you will agree.

If they were a bit thicker or used stainless steel perhaps that would make for a more weighty but rigid knife. Perhaps the trade off for weight reduction makes the fault unavoidable?

I will be very interested to here what you find out, as I have failed, perhaps you can get the info? Feel free to mail me about this.

I really don't consider this to have any real merrit as a topic now. Yes I know it makes me look like I got a bashing and am backing down, but it can not go any further IMVHO.

All the best!

Weird. I saw a large Sebenza at a local store - the lock felt like it was "sticking" and it was a huge pain to close. I found the BM Pinnacle much nicer. In discussions, it's been suggested that maybe I looked at a bad Sebenza -- I guess that's possible, since my new small plain Sebenza doesn't have that problem. I wish BM made a smaller Pinnacle -- if it was the quality of the large I have, I'd have picked it over the sm Sebenza (for $200 less).

!

As to the sticky Sebi, well it just goes to show, perhaps I have been a little over expectant and have had some really BAD luck.

I noticed my 750 was rather hard to disengage, the lock that is, however I experience this to a lesser degree with my sebi. I think it is what can happen with a Ti frame lock. I think it needs to be tight as Ti wears quickly and you would have a loose knife soon otherwise. Just a quick one, I have started carrying my limited edit Sebenza number 6 of 50 large classic! GREAT KNIFE!

All the best!

e-utopia the offer goes out to you as well. Friends? Just because we disagree on this lets not get silly

Wayne, I'll call Travis on Monday and see what he says.

As for letting this rest, I'm all for it. But, be warned that I don't tolerate people with 'an axe to grind' - if you want to post a legitimate complaint, go ahead, but I won't remain silent when you complain about how horribly you were treated after they went out of their way to help you out. Try to 'step back' and consider the tone and content of what you post.

I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I'll sit back and whatch whether or not you have learned anything from this incident, before I'm willing to speak of 'friendship.'
