Controversial Threads

WWG,

Please note I said "few" rather than "all". :D.

WWG/Peter,

Your point is in the large part correct, mainly because the dealers and/or collectors have generally moved on any pieces relevant to the comments before the comments become public.

The last time that I checked, Private Colleges in the USA (supposedly institutions of benevolent education), were charging (read price fixing) about $50,000 a year. Education may cost a fortune, but it isn't nearly as expensive as ignorance.

Everyone pays mightily for their education, whether they realize it or not.

Ok coop lets save time.

Custom is a knife that has never been made before and a client asks for it to be made with speicific requirements.

If the knife has been made before and someone makes changes it to it...it is customized.

Custom is also a "Marketing" term in the lexicon of knives to describe knives made by one individual.

Handmade...literally with regards to custom knives does not exist. As tools are used bother power and hand.

Handmade is also a "Marketing" term used by some to rekindle a by gone era of old world craftsman ship.

Please cut and paste this to the top of the forum.
A more concise description has rarely been made. Excellent!

Your comment is noted, thank you.

Hi Coop,

Thank you. Now stop brining up that as a thread topic! LOL :D

Nope. Learned that one from you: Any knife you have in your pocket at the time, becomes a 'tactical' knife--if needed.

All the rest are just better-suited. ;)

Coop,

I buy you books, send you to school and you don't learn

The Question is: What is a survival knife or a Fighting knife?

The Answer is: The knife you have in your possession when you get into a survival situation or knife fight!

A tactical knife is a "Marketing" term used to describe a knife with a particular look.

Kum By YA! :D

On the plus side you know a lot more about custom knives than I do about photography!

WWG

Keeper of the BIG BOOK on Custom Knife Definitions!
