I haven't ever had a problem with a neck knife being uncomfortable or unaccessable.I have experiences mostly with Bud Nealy knives and can say that some complaints I've heard about this style knife simply does not eixst with Nealy knives I've owned. The worst thing about a neck knife with ball chain is for us hairy guy's who's hair occassional gets pulled by getting caught in between the balls of the chain.I have never had a problem with the knife riding up on the chain or the knife/sheath flipping around as to hamper proper access/draw.This has alot to do, just with the way the sheath is designed, compared to others I have seen.Other than the chest hair being pulled out, I have always enjoyed neck knives. The best thing about Bud Nealy knives besides his blade designs and wonderful crafstmanship,is his MCS system, not only magnets to help retain the blade for added security, but there are numerous ways to wear the rig that best suits you needs at the time. One of my favorite methods of carry was the upside down inside the coat pocket carry under the armpit. The lining of my jacket was black and the knife blended in like it was a chameleon, yet was so simply accessable for drawing in a hurry, but extremly secured to the pocket.I'm sure there are other wonderful makers of this type of knife with a MCS system, but I have experience mostly with the Nealy system.
