Conversation with Shiva Ki

I Carp, indeed!
good start on the book! :D
just found this forum, and i can say that that was the most interesting thread i have read in a long time. given the somewhat touchy climate of the entire thread, i found Mr Lyle's approach to the request, and subsequent testing to be well thought out, informative, entertaining and professional.
I wish my competition spoke of me with that much respect when i was unable (or able for that matter) to respond directly!
I have long been a believer that whether or not a knife will ever used it be capable of performing the task (and many others it was designed for. only side by side field testing can truly determine whether one knife (or edge) is better suited to a certain job.
The only thing that could have made the testing more fair would have been for Mr. Ki to have personally attended and been able to write a review of his own. I understand this wasn't possible.
If Mr. Lyle had written this review about my product under the circumstances here, i would be more than satisfied.

Thanks for a great read!

P.S. Does that get me a free knife Jimmy? P.M me for shipping address! ;) just kidding! :D

"Other than me hurting like a b*st*rd,things are well here."
Jimmy slipped and fell at the top of the loading ramp and re-injured his lower back while moving a very heavy file cabinet,he's pretty stove up but getting in his daily walks and exercises.

Just a thankyou from Shiva to Jimmy:

"Man, Jimmy tested the hell out of that small spirit, and I`m quite proud of how well it performed. Especially considering how light and fast I make my blades. For a very light knife, it did really well. Thats really grueling for Jimmy, to do all that cutting. One very tough man. And very concise in his evaluation. Wore me out just reading all of that. He would really enjoy cutting with one of my samurai steel spirit blades. Much better performance, not quite so light. Better suited to the various chopping tests. It`s pretty amazing, the difference between two similiar blades that are only two inches difference in length. Even your samurai steel small spirit, being a little heavier, would be like a whole different knife.

My thanks to Jimmy for his superman effort required to do that testing. Frankly, I`m just to damn lazy to do all that. Thats why I was so
grateful to 5ft 7inch, 145 lb. Dominique for his 9 months of testing on close to 100 of my knives, but mostly my spirit blades. I would have never known how good they really are if not for his enthusiasm for knife testing. He went through 2500 ft. of rope and many 2x4`s and the 1/3 of upstate New York he chopped down. Makes me glad there
are men like him and Jimmy out there who love to chop stuff up, like I love to blow shit up.

The Marines that come here love to go to the range with me and my ex-marine Sgt son, now a deputy sheriff, and shoot up the range with my sons Thompson,Russian Dragonov sniper rifle, .45`s and 9mm`s, riot guns ect.. We just love to blow shit up! Like Jimmy loves to cut things up. Post my thanks to jimmy for all to see, if you will.

Thanks Jimmy, you`re a good man.
