Convince me. BK2.

Not to sound like peta or anything, I love hunting and fishing, but why the hell would you kill a bear???

Now I would really have respect for you if you did kill that bear with the BK2....

Bear tastes good and the pelts rock. I think the bit about killing it w/ a BK2 was a joke tho. :p

The BK2 is the the Chuck Norris of knives , it kicks other knives in the forehead. I even call mine Walker once in while.

If John Moses Browning had designed a knife, it would have been the BK2. It is the 1911of knives. It is brilliant in it's simplicity and remarkable in it's ability. I sold my Striders after using this knife for only two weeks.

I really want to like the BK2 but something about it just doesn't scream out to me. I think its the handle maybe? CONVINCE ME PEOPLE!

Either you want it or you don't, 60 bucks ain't going to kill your pocketbook to find out, I have 2.

THe one had micarta and I went back to the Grivory, just feels right.

Once you pick it up you won't want to put it down. Perhaps that's an argument against, as that can become embarassing.

I'm a big fan of the bicycle inner tube grip enhancement, as the locals know.

The thing is bomber. I mean... dude, it's just so cool. It's surprising how cool it is.
You pull it from the sheath, giggle, and say "ah, I get it!" - if you can speak through that stupid grin.

I always thought that PETA stood for People Eating Tasty Animals. Was I wrong?

take it or leave it. 'nuff said.

This bear was killed with a BK2 by the guy on the left.

holy moly! i'll be honest, even if i was built like ahhhnnooold, holding a full-auto .50bmg on each hand, i'd still put skid marks on my pants and scream like a school girl if something like that came after me :o

ditto. i don't hunt but if i did, you betcha every single part of the animal would be eaten...eyeballs and all...well, i do that anyway being i'm asian and all :D but i'm just saying.

well said, sir

i own a springfield armory xd45 and have shot a number of plastic, err i mean polymer guns, but my go-to gun is still my 1911. with the recent bk-2 vs. esee-5 thread, i owned both...i abused both...i sold the 5 for close to 50% off simply because i wanted to get rid of it asap...the ergonomics and my hand didn't agree...as capable as it was...it had no soul.

Go over to the esee forum and look at the battoning esee-5 thru bk2 and you will have no excuse to not buy one of each

:confused:I agree with Flexx. I am a big hunter myself. Yet I don't see the reason for killing a bear. I eat everything I hunt. And yes, there are some that will contend that bear meat tastes good. But come on, we all know the real reason that people kill bears. First and foremost is FEAR.... and uhm.... a pelt. Bears are such regal animals, yet we like to shoot what scares us. I have several BK2s, but I'd bet on the bear. He has 18 BK2s with him at all times. Shooting 'Lions, tigers, and bears'..... and elephants, rhinos, hippos..... C'm on MAN! Give me... and the bear a break!!! ::mad:

Don't project on me or other hunters. Hunting is about hunting - not fear. I've yet to have chance to hunt bear but would love to do so (with my longbow) and fear doesn't enter into the equation. My bear hunting friends (all of whom use traditional archery gear) do so because they love the challenge and the meat and the pelts. They aren't out there with sticks and strings because of bearanoia.

Quite obviously the poster you mention was joking about bear hunting with a BK2 (real men use BK11 / BK14 :p ).

YES IT WAS A JOKE.

Hunting is a sport.

If you only hunt for food, and never for fun or sport.
Mickey D's is still selling double cheeseburgers for $1.19.
That is to cheap to spend that much time, money, and energy, hunting game animals.

Seperating the hunting of bear and deer will only seperate sportsmen.
Then the anti hunters will win. Divide and conquer.

NOW BACK TO THE BK2 AND BECKER KNIVES.PLEASE.

Amen. Here's more BK2 convincing (with some clever subliminal BK11 convincing thrown in as an added bonus...

I fixed it for you....

Take my word....and you don't have to because I'm a noob..

I picked up a BK2 at the shotshow and fell in love. I ordered one as soon as I got home!

This was after I saw an ESEE 5 and thought I would never buy another knife again.

Ha! I bought the BK2 they had at the SHOT Show. Damn fine knife if I do say so myself. Micarta scales are on order.
This thing is all business and is beginning to change my mind for me about production knives.
