Copper and WI for fittings?

I really like browned fittings and copper accents.

This knife is like 5 or 6 years old, but the idea fits the discussion

01 steel browned, easier said than done. At least to get a nice consistence finish as below.

The trick I want to figure out with cold blueing is how to preserve the super dark "matte" finish you get when you put the solution on the metal. Once you rnse and "card" it lightens and gets shiny. That looks nice, but i would like to be able to have another option.

Try acetone then wax you need to use acetone our your cold blueing will rust your parts.
