This has to be the best out of all of them. Then again, I'm biased ;) :D

Some really nice work guys . oge14 , that looks amazing

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

I am thinking of UN-wraping one of mine and trying the Oge-wrap

If I unwrapped one I would be stuck with just a pile of cord. I do not have the patience to do that Oge wrap.

I made this knife for my brother as a wedding present...Pretty simple wrap that I ended with a tactical lanyard. I also made a simple sheath to go with it. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

thank ya'll very much. it really is not that bad to do. it does take a few pabst though.

native i like your grafting on that sheath, is it a kydex core?

by the way KAAK have ya thrown it it any? we need a progrees report on toughness.

Thanks oge14. No, just straight up 550 paracord. I found that because of the way the sheath was folded and then weaved together on the outside, that the blade does not wear on the sheath when drawing.

that is awesome.

how hard is the fender into the grafting? i am still trying to get it even, it is a pain in the arse. i want to do a kill devil in one when i get the time.

That would be badass. I'm currently in the process of making a tactical type tomahawk. But it's going to end up being a bit more stalky with a larger profile in the haft.

As far as this project went, it wasn't too extensive. With the sheath, I took out the nylon core of the paracord because as you probably know, that stuff makes it hard to predict end result size if you don't. I then weaved it on a jig I made and folded it together, weacing the edges together. I put two cobra belt loops on the back and then added that little detail on the bottom with another bit of cobra stitch. The key to getting everything even is just a matter of measuring and taking your time...trial and error. This was actually my first knife and sheath, so I'm still a novice for sure.

What are you working on right now? I just got some O2 Tool Steel stock and I'm going to do a tactical bowie for a buddy and then I think I'm going to make a boot knife style dagger. Do you have any experience in etching? I may experiment with that as well.

These look awesome. I think I might have to take the slabs off some of my knives and get some cord wrappage happening. :)

You dont have to take the handles off to get a good feeling cord wrap. My Steel Heart E came with a nice cord wrapped handle (that I failed to take a picture of :o ) And i have a basic cord wrap on my BAe now, I'll get a pic of that for sure. :)

I'll try to find some time to try throwing it. I have been swamped with homework and tobacco grading. I'll see if I can give it some throws this weekend.

That sheath is amazing! Only thing that could be better is if it was PINK! I know, I know...it was for your brother. A pink paracord sheath would be so awesome though

Haha, thank you! I do happen to have some pink paracord that I could use to bust one out with. I'd be happy to make one for ya if you need one haha.
