Could this be the Bushcraft knife to beat all others ?

Pit my good man, the knife looks like it would have a special place for certain tasks just as all knives would have . . . certain features make certain knives more desireable than others . . . but I like the thread title because it did make me look like you wanted people to . . . . :D :D
But one special & traditional thing is missing from this thread than all your past ones . . . . . where is the "Dynamic Duo" buddy ???
Be safe.

LOL....Don't worry buddy I'm off for 10 days now so there should be lots of pooch pics.....and a few knives thrown in of course !;)

The divot in the scale is a minor similarity, I was referring to overall dimensions (except for blade thickness). I'm a bit biased against Tops, though, just my preferance (I know I risk getting trounced for that statement!!!)

No trouncing....it's all good buddy !:D

Aw man, I can not wait. Between you & Mist, this old gun guy has learned an awful lot of information just in the short time I have been on here (and thanks to Mist & his threads with knives AND food in most of them, gained about 15 lbs. as well).
Who says you can't learn anything past 50 ??? Can't wait buddy, post away . . . .

It has a micro-bevel; therefore, it is unworthy. :p

I really like my TOPS knives, buT can't say it's the best. I prefer to keep a couple blades to covEr my bases. You cant have too many knives, or bullets...

I like it, I don't mind the blunt tip, curious as to what it will sell for. Makes me want one. I have got to stop logging on to BF.:D

I don't understand why the handle is scalloped in the middle of the palm swell.

Hey ... is that Habilis the knife that Dave was using on Dual survival two weeks ago?

I keep thinking the same buddy.....just when I think I don't want another knife I log on here and find another I need !!!!

VGSC, good luck with that . . . same thoughts I have each time I click on that log in button . . . . .
You find a cure, let me know, will ya' ???? :D

For those saying they'd like it with a pointier tip, I believe it does have !

This is a pic of another prototype without the bowdrill hole. I think the blade shape is supposed to be the same though and that it looks different on my first pic as the knife is angled. If I can confirm this I will let ya know !

I much prefer it as it is in this pic !

Pit my good man, just noticed . . . . . . broke the 10,000 barrier . . .
But hey, who counts posts anymore, eh ??
Congrats buddy, now go ask the wife to buy you this knife for accomplishing this monumental forum task . . . . :D
Be safe.

Not exactly the profile I prefer (drop point) but I would like to try it. All I know is that I wish you people would stop posting knives on here as I have too many all ready (Well, maybe not).

I think it's a good design myself. One of the very few TOPS blades that would be a good all purpose knife, IMO.

This knife is NOTHING like the Habilis Bush Tool?

Why does Tops write all over the place on their knives and tools? I think it looks like hell when they do that. Kinda like when people put a big ol sticker on their car that says what brand it is. Did they forget?? lol The overall design looks like it could be usefull. Without the writing, the thumb jimping, ghey paint, and the Tops thick edge.

Bush knife to beat all Bush knives? No thats gonna be my FrankenBecker.:D Seriously though I can think of at least 25 knives Id rather have, and I have no clue who these brothers of bushcraft are, and why I should buy a knife they say is good.

I will say its one of the more usefull looking blades from Tops, and thats not sayin much...lol

Sorry Pit, no offense amigo.

for me handle ergonomics trumps all...true scandi grind and excellent heat treat is a dime a dozen already but makers' often treat handle ergonomics with less thought. this one looks like another cookie-cutter bushcraft knife...feel free to send me one so i can check out the ergonomics. i'll be happy to report back :p

The best craft knife is the one in my pack because it's what I got even if there is better at home. That knife looks darn nice though. :)
