"Counter-terrorism" knives??

Oh yeahhh, we gonna Draxx them Terries sklounst. Draxx 'em reeeeal sklounts.
So glad you posted this, been referencing this for a while but people have not seen it and just thought I was a maniac 😂

These terms have spilled over into real life for me - I can confirm it doesn't help at all when you try to explain it.

Good to know at least one other person that gets it.

You know, I go to fpds.gov and see contracts for Buck Knives, Strider Knives, Emerson Knives, Mission Knives, and a few others; but no Winkler knives. I also see procurements for knives from Lowes, Knifecenter, etc. Sorting by contracting agency we see that USSOCOM has contracted knives from Reeve, SOG, Tactical and Survival Specialties (sheaths in this case), Complete Packaging and Shipping, and of course Strider.

Searching for the words 'winkler' and 'tool' yields a number of hits for contracts with W+D machinery out of Shawnee Kansas. Turns out thats the US office for a mail solutions company...

Must be part of those super secret squirrel black ops procurements. But hey, I can't find Cold Steel in there either and I know SEALs have carried those, though I presume they just bought them at the Exchange.
I dug around a bit, did find one singular contract for Winkler from May 2018, listed as "safety and rescue equipment", it was placed by the Air Force but funding agency was USSOCOM. Was for breaching axes.. sounds like possible secret squirrel shit to me 🤣

If anyone wants to real a ton of references to SEAL Team 6 using Winkler tomahawks try "Code over Country" by Matthew Cole. By the way, from Dick Marcinko to the present, SEAL team 6 comes off looking pretty bad.
