County Fair Time!!!

Rob, you brought Vegemite to Blade for us to try. Fair food, in my opinion, is much better than Vegemite. Much like Worldwood said, you have to build up a tolerance to fair food. Once you build up that tolerance, you'll develop cravings for the greasy goodness. :D

:D I'm sorry about that. Well, no I'm not :D

And yes, the greasy goodness of fair food is pretty bloody good. I just hallucinate after eating too much of it. :D

I'm hitting up the Evergreen state fair tomorrow. I go with my wife every year. I like the lumberjack show -- it never changes but I get a kick out of it every time. I like to see the hogs and goats, and people watching. After the fair we're heading out of town for a week of bike riding and finishing the week at the Ellensburg rodeo which I've never been to and look forward to it.

Have a great time mikeymoto that sounds like a great way to spend a few weeks. Only a few more days till I can finally get my hand s on some of that greasy goodness.

Rob - you took Vegemite to Blade? I'm choked up with national pride right now :)
The Adelaide Royal Show is about to start, and it's about 10 minutes from me. So for a week there'll be tens of thousands of families all heading to an inner suburb of sleepy little Adelaide. The food is, admittedly, nothing to write home (err...or write to the US) about but the atmosphere is nice. A bit of faux community spirit and people enjoying themselves en masse always cheers me up :)

Adelaide really comes alive in February to March though, when we have our Fringe festival. Hundreds of local and international acts, activities, spring-up bars and food vendors take over various parts of the city. It's a great time to be here - and everyone gains a bit of weight during those weeks from the high concentration of dangerously delicious festival food.

The vegemite was terrible...I am still shocked that people eat it on purpose.

After seeing a reaction to the Vegemite, I was following you around to see all the hilarious reactions until you finally decided to put it away. I wouldn't be sorry about bringing the Vegemite either. :D

I know it was pretty funny. I have some video of it too. I've got to get it up on youtube.

Well anyone in the area on Sunday is welcome to stop by my families camper for some Hobo Stew.

Hahahahahaha but it is soooo gooooodddd!!!!!!!!!

So are all of the activities! I'm excited about truck pulls, demolition derbies, Golden Gloves boxing, Rodeo, Country concert, Classic Rock concert, and so much more. I think I'm really ready for the fair!

If there were a "powder puff" class, I would do everything I could do to try to get her in a truck to pull. I bet she would have the time of her life. It is going to be fun walking around the fair and eating all that glorious fair food until we about pop, though. :D
