County Fair Time!!!

Haven't seen them in a while. Anybody had a "Fatball"? I think it was pudding inside a dough ball and deep fried and rolled in sugar......amazing:eek:

The fair started today, I'm trying to decide whether to start my glutton fest or wait for tomorrow to enjoy it with Pokey.
 
In about seven hours I will be at the fair eating pork chop sandwiches and deep friend Oreos! I am so excited, I can't stand it :thumbup:
 
The countdown is down to a little over two hours until Miss Pokey and I are stuffing our faces with delicious fair food! I can't wait, the suspense is killing me!
 
Pokey and I attended the truck pulls on Saturday, there were trucks everywhere. It was her first truck pull, so I'll let her tell you what she thought about it.

It was awesome! I ate WAYYYYY to much fried food. It got to the point where I was kind of sick but it was soooo worth it. It only happens once a year so you have to make it count, right!?
 
I live about 3 blocks from the Kansas State Fair so I tend to get more than my fill by the time it winds down. This year I'll be flyfishing in Colorado for the first five days so it won't seem as long. Eating a Pulled Pork Parfait (mashed taters instead of ice cream) is something I look forward to every year. We have a pretty strong amish/mennonite communite in the area and they offer some pretty good treats outside of the traditional fried fare.

Can't go without Dip'n'Dots ice cream :D
