I think if you ever do it yourself - whittles hair and makes macro you will find answer on your question. It is pretty simple - sharpen knife, whittle your own hair this way, make macro photo same way - let us see what will you get.

Honestly, Kershaw reputation going to the drain post after post after post for years...

That attack was completely uncalled for.
You ought to be ashamed of yourself for lashing out like that.
All 2brothers did was ask a question. You jumped him and then attacked Kershaw for no reason.

And you never know, at some time when you've passed muster for a job or something and it comes down to:

"OK, you might be just right for us, but........can you split a hair"

Well, you do not think you are associated with Kershaw in any way? Interesting.

Why do not you learn how to sharpen to whittle hair, whittle it and make macro photography. Then we may see if your hair look like hair or like human hair.

You do not ask question - you suggested that I fake results (or I am an animal). And obviously basis of this suggestion was not first hand experience, but rather usual aggressive behavior I observe for years.

So I suggested you to gain first hand experience and then may be say sorry or something... I do not know...

Well, splitting hair is sign of final sharpness. I can do this using as I sad upholstery leather from Tandy leather factory 9831-00:

It cast me like $30 half hide. I was not able to use other leather with same success.

May be it is just me. But that leather from Tandy very inexpensive and works excellent and using it I got my hair whittling sharpness, after using other one for year or so without much success.

Some of you guys are using chromium oxide on paint sticks. Is there a reason why one could not put chromium oxide on dowel rods then use in the ceramic rod holders? Ive been trying this ,but no stoopid sharp yet.

I have whittled hair with my knives.

I've seen a few folks that whittled dog hair, it looks more like that to me.
I never suggested fake results or that YOU were an animal. Where do you come up with these ideas? (the sentence prior to these parentheses is a question)

Mr2Blue on this forum makes leather strops, I wonder what kind of leather he's been using.
I may have my brother stop by a few places when he is in Yoakum next time to see if any of the leather factories there have some "throw-a-ways" :)

dipbait, the chromium oxide on a dowel rod sounds like a good idea.

And I found this strop and leather useless, because when I use same for a while I did not have good result until I switched to proper leather.

Did you actually try to do this? I never saw any picture of your hair being whittled so far. I am pretty sure when you do thid yourself that will answer your question.

I am sorry, but first cheap shot was from "Kershaw mafia: Sonny". And this is not first time I observe him doing. If you look for the first post on page three - you will see "Kersaw mafia:Sonny" printed as a signature on that cheap shot.

For me it is really unexpected when trademark like this are always presented on this kind of posts. Especially such a respectable company which is Kershaw and KAI are. I am not sure owner of this trademark may like having this kind of "innocent questions" signed by "Kershaw mafia" again and again and again, do not do any good, IMHO. Even it is indirect assosiation.

And you are correct this topic is not in any way related to Kershaw why Kershaw mafia start all this here?
