This design concept and ongoing build project has been one of my favorite thread stories on this sub-forum. It is so cool to see it finally completed.

You did an awesome job Steve! Every detail was well thought out and carefully brought to life in your one of a kind custom CPK. You also walk away with a deeper understanding of how much patience, skill, and work is required to design a knife and bring it to fruition. Nothing worthwhile that makes you proud and stands the test of time happens in “two weeks.”

I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to Nathan the Machinist for offering the opportunity to work on this project, I had a ton of fun and I love how it turned out.

Also many thanks again to Matthew Gregory for his expert instruction, and for being a repository of information about knives and knifemaking, and life as well.

Thanks to @CPK Mark for his impeccable finishing work on this knife. I love his swooping plunge grinds and sick nasty hollow grind on the primary bevel.

I've already started putting this knife to work, she may be one of a kind but that doesn't mean she's not going to live a life of adventure! I'll post updates in the CPK Photo thread moving forward.

Thanks as well to all of you that have followed along with this thread, and for your kind words of encouragement throughout this project! I hope the DIY prize continues to be offered at the Outlaw Cut, and to see many more cool projects in the years to come!

Turned out great, buddy. Glad I could offer help. Still think it’s a weird choice of design for a toenail clipper, but you do like Dave Matthews Band, so there’s no telling what your tastes might justify.
