I made those with tooling board. I had some diafolds that cut the grits in half with a bandsaw. Epoxied the the stones to the tooling board.

It's a great idea, but I've mentioned it before, my favorite DMT is the Diafold DuoSharp Coarse+Fine (blue/Coarse on one side and red/Fine on the other side).

It folds into a compact and lightweight package that's easy to stuff in a backpack etc. and I find the DMT Fine grit to be ideal for most multi use edges (i.e. it produces a shaving sharp edge that is very slightly toothy, that works well for 99% of cutting tasks).

The Coarse side allows for quick field reprofiling for neglected edges (have used it to sharpen friends' incredibly dull axes and machetes, oh and their EDC butter knives. P.S. what's the point of carrying a folding knife that's so dull, it can't cut anything?).

I have the Extra Fine and XX-Fine Duosharp as well, but realized I don't really like the DMT 'holed/interrupted' pattern surface for those grits. I prefer their flat continuous surface bench stones in the finer grits (and have the 8" X-Fine and XX-Fine).

Well used FK2 and MC, and along for the ride a sweet UF2. Gotta love how OD micarta ages over time (all scales are OD)

Yeah, A, those look like a well used set of OD scales to me. I have a set on an EDC1 that I probably have the most time on of any CPK I have, and they are just about chocolate brown, not a hint of green in them anymore.

Yup OD on all 3. The sun and general weathering turn them brown green ish after time. You can see where they sit in the sheath based on the colouring, as well as usually my left side scales are darker as they sit on my left hip if that makes sense

It is an old Eagle Industries RRV (Rhodesian Recon Vest).

I prefer more of a belt kit but this works better with a full sized ruck as well as in/out vehicles

Current work set up - USGI 2qt cover sling clipped to a couple small 550 cord loops in the kydex grommets. Slung over top of the cruiser vest so the steel stays cold and doesn’t have snow melt/stick/build up to it when chopping out branches and the like. FK2 90s Spine on my belt as per
