CPK Pet Thread

Holy smokes! I'm glad I backed out of the chopper pre-order.

My dog gus had his leg swell up a few weeks ago....another infection. Had to get a CT scan done.

Something got in his leg and it looks like it has worked its way deeper; the imaging shows the track it created. The foreign body didn't show up on the x-rays or the contrast CT scan. So now he needs an exploratory surgery; due to the location it will need to be arthroscopic (I think that's the right term). This crap is not cheap!

Wish my sweet boy luck.

carnifex knifeworks carnifex knifeworks , how is Gus doing now? My prayers and positive thoughts are with you, Gus, and your family 🙏🏻

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Gus is out of surgery. He's doing fine. They have to keep him overnight, but I'll be able to pick him up in the morning.

I'm really hoping this solves the problem.

The next two weeks are going to be really tough for him. He'll have to remain sedated for a majority of the time.

Glad to to hear Gus is doing fine. My two have both been in a compromised state this week but are both doing better now. Dexter was running full speed(his only speed) and hit the top of a tree that had been cut down and limbed up. He hit it about shin high and totally flipped over. He seemed fine but developed a limp later that night. He was kept from any of his extracurricular activities for several days and is doing much better physically. Mentally he is really ready to get out and open it up again. Then Dahlia threw up in the middle of the night. When I cleaned it up it had full leaves in there. We assumed she sneakily ate something on one of her forest walks. The next night she had explosive diarrhea all over the house.(sorry gross) I’ve never had anything like that happen in all my dog years. It was horrible. Spent that night and next day bleaching and pressure washing. Several days of small, frequent chicken and white rice meals later and she is back to normal.

Glad they are doing better. Dogs can be such knuckleheads, they don’t know what’s bad for them most of the time, and WE sure pay the price for their fun and mischief at times 😱😢😂

Really glad that it seems to have passed, and I sure can appreciate the mess you went through🙏🏻👍

Feeling better

I'm a believer in probiotics for the dogs now. Either FortiFlora, or lactobacillus seems to really help with a variety of issues..

Glad your pups are better M Mendoman . I can't stand when the dogs are feeling low. I can't relax until they're well.
I can’t stand it either. It’s a relief to see that they are both doing much better.
