Have seen some nice shots recently and search yielded no dedicated thread.

I get a chuckle thinking of Nick Shabazz's perspective on watches ("whatever you do, DON'T get into watches!")

I'm partial to Citizen Ecodrives, and have a very modest collection.

This Promaster Tough is excellent

Aside from this Citizen, (below), my wife also bought me a nice Concord and Tag-Heuer, but I don't have images of them at hand and I'm too lazy to take them out and take pix. (I very rarely wear any of them anymore.)

I have an old Seiko Orange Monster that doesn’t keep great time but it’s an old friend. I have been thinking of getting a new automatic but I keep on diving into the rabbit hole and upping my budget umpteen times before deciding I DON’T need to spend mid five figures on a watch. I also think I’d like an Apple Watch but my kids won’t fight over it after I’m gone….

I bought the Omega Seamaster, (in the post above), in celebration of being a few months out from my planned retirement.

This one was sent to me as an afterthought post retirement...and is the cheesiest watch I've ever owned. I keep it as a reminder of all that's wrong with the government...and why I was smart to get out when I did.

Me too. Nice. I used to break watches easily, I guess my bike commute is tough on them (gloves, zippers on the jacket, who knows…) and every time I had a battery changed in the US on my Swiss watches, they lost their water resistance afterwards. I like Quartz movements though, so the Eco drive is perfect. Holds up great.

Ball is the only high-end manufacturer using tritium that I know of, so when I finally bit the bullet to celebrate some milestones last year my brand choice was easy...I lurve tritium 🥰 This thing is also keeping almost perfect time, gaining small fractions of a second per day🤯

I have a handful of watches that were gifted to me, a couple of them broken (see above), and some of them I wear very rarely, as I'm afraid to break them. This is one was gifted by my wife. Apparently I like wood+steel (refence to my rifles ?), so there.

I've been curious about Maratac watches for some time. Happy with yours? How long have you owned it?
I've had this one for about 2 months.

I had to adjust the time twice because it was running fast by about a minute.

I'm glad I got it. it hasn't been babied. the crystal still looks new after a nice cleaning.

I dont think I'd have been happy paying what theyre asking for em but took the plunge simply because they were ''on sale'', probably to clear out inventory at the end of the year.

No brainer at that point.

All in all a good watch that in the time I've owned it feels like it will last. time will tell though.
