CPM 10V Knives

Luong,

Wow. I'm liking no. 6. Micarta looks delicious!
You stopped making the hunter with thumb rest? Like that design very much!

No. 1 reminds me of something;)
Good luck! I'm going to watch coming batches, hopefully there's one I fancy

Edit to add, thanks for explanation on bluntcut. I've been having it wrong all along :o

Thanks Chris!

I've plenty of blanks with thumb-rest and whatever I think ppl might like. Sometime, I go back looking at a profile and think - hey, I will incorporate part of it in new profile - see that's how hybrid happened.

I am not sure 10V is something in your sharpening forte/taste, beside dry shave with it isn't enjoyable compare to edge of low Cr steels. With your usage a 68rc W2/1095/1084 midsize thin ligth-weight util slicer brings more joys/bucks.

Luong,

Thanka for advice & reminder of my sharpening & usage preferences (read: 'fuss') 😂. Appreciate that, and wish everyone good experience with BCMW CWF. Might jump on something else you put forward in future. ;)

A must for performance = I will FFG #3 & #4 knives - even with risk of uglifying the plunge line.

#7 looks familiar.
I have one Very similar headed to my house as well speak.

I am looking forward to having this in hand Quite a bit. I would be willing to bet that anyone else that grabbed one is also as anxious as I am.

Thank You - #7 is your. Got your PM. Please send another PM with pp info, I will send you an invoice.

I just went through pain made a minimal sheath for #2 - basically friction retention but the blade is quite small so it took 3 tries. Sheath is extra $15 (I can leave some extra neck, so you can sand/cut extra off to fit to front of scales). I think better off making your own sheath after blade finishing and fasten a handle. LMK.

I will take
#7 Blade only with minimal sheath if available.

My apology - 3 sold knives are sheathed but not sharpen yet. These 3 knives + #7 blade will ship out tomorrow. Thanks for your understanding & patience.

I really like #6 (somebody else did too, obviously :) ) and 3+4 looked great before and they still look great with their FFG.

Thanks DR.
Yeah I FFG them to a pure slicer geometry, leveraging more on 10V high wear resistant, while giving up some volume strength.

When I cut through tough stuff with very thin edge geometry - use pull cut technique similar to surgon/artist.

Notes: I freedhand sharpened these blades, edge bevel is mostly blended. So they have small radius convex for edge shoulder rather than a crisp edge shoulder. Also these knives aim for high function, thus I coined it as 'Performance F&F'.

I will leave this thread open - feel free to GBU comments. If there are corrective actions need to be taken/address, please contact me.

Due to my work schedule, there could be a small delay in response.

Thanks very much buyers; looking and considerers,

Absolutely Fantastic work my friend!
The knife I had purchased from you is Exceptional and I am ecstatic over the edge it took. Now to let it die under normal usage so I an get an idea of the edge holding...

Judging by the sharpening, I am expecting to have a good edge for quite some time!

Again, thank you.
