In the name of sharp knives, forum fun and mixing things up I have decided we need to do something that hasn't been done here in a long time... a custom order run!!! 
Here's how it will work along with some details about the knife...
- I have 5 spots available, post here on this thread if you are in. (all spots filed, thanks again everyone)
- I can't put a time limit on how long it takes to make a knife that will last a lifetime but I'm thinking 3-5 weeks.
Hopefully sooner. Once the sign up spots are taken I will order the materials and keep everyone updated here in this thread from then on. I'll be working on other knife groups during this run as always but will be sure to keep the updates going.
These will be 100% sole authorship from USA made steel!
--- The Knife ---
Design - Kwaiken
Edge Geometry - Tall hollow chisel grind - thin on the edge and slicey! (right hand grind by default, just let me know if you are left handed)
Blade Steel - 5/32" (.140-155") CPM-3V Steel
Size - about 7.25" with a ~3.25" Blade - substantial but not too big to carry daily
Base Price - $165! Payment due upon completion.
--- Finish ---
Satin Bevel with Forge Finish/Rough Flats - this is a working finish and is included in the base price. There will be grind lines on the bevel with a crisp grind as always.
Stonewashed Finish - $35 extra This finish will wear well. The bevel and flats will also be finished to a higher level before stonewash.
Acid Wash Finish $45 extra - acid etched and stonewashed, this dark blade finish also wears well and looks great. Higher level of finish before acid wash.
-- Handle Options ---
Tsuka-Maki (Japanese Style) cord wrap over cord is included. This wrap is epoxy soaked, has outstanding grip and is ultralight. Black on black is the default, I also have other colors of cord available for the inner wrap so just let me know and I'll see what's available.
Tsuka-Maki Wrap Over Rayskin - $25 extra Your choice of Black, Emerald Green, Fire Red or Cream White Rayskin.
Carbon fiber - Ghost Carbon Fiber, low void and made in the USA! I'll use small black pins which blend in well with the CF. $50 extra
--- Sheath ---
A custom made teklok compatible Kydex sheath with removable hardware is included. The hardware is removable for ease of cleaning. Tekloks are $11 extra.
Shipping --- Insured Priority Shipping is included in the USA. International shipping is $39.
Once the sign up is complete I'll give everyone a day or so to finalize their options... after that I'll order materials and it's on!
