Never hesitate signing up for a DFK. It's much easier to withdraw a few hours later if you change your mind. As you can see, someone will eagerly take your place. ;)

Hi IMWILSON!

I have the occasional knife sit around but I'd say 95% of my knives sell in 5 minutes or less. I'm still not trying to raise my prices or do lottos... just make more! I really appreciate the support.

I'm hoping to order more materials Friday afternoon so go ahead and let me know what your final configuration will be. I only need to know handle materials as we have more time to decide on final finish.

If you need to think about it a bit more that's fine too, I can always order after the weekend. Just let me know here if you need more time. Steel is on the way and we have plenty of time to decide on the rest.
 
I will shake my fist in the air too....."darn you early birds!" LOL For once I wasnt the early bird. Think ive only missed out on 3 knives I have wanted. Sometimes we just get lucky in life.

OK I'll go with the cf scales man I believe I'm gonna keep the standard finish on the blade tho. Thanks !
 
Most of the final configurations are in... I'll order materials after the weekend.

Extras are still planned... more on that later.
 
Hi guys! Everything is going well here, I'm just waiting on supplies! I'm finishing up a few projects still and will post an update once I hear more on my materials.
 
The steel has shipped! It went out Thursday from New Jersey so 12' of CPM3V should be here soon! I had the steel surface ground from the supplier to remove decarb... sometimes it takes them a few days to get to it but is well worth the wait.

I'm finishing up some knives over the next few days and will start these up soon. Everything is looking good! Thanks again guys...
 
I cleaned up the steel and applied some Dykem. The Dykem is the blue stuff and will help me see my scribe lines later.






Door open... the Dykem is stinky!

 
This is why I made the template. Clamp and scribe in lines... I'll use my chop saw next to cut the bars up and start grinding to profile.





It's hard to show the scribe lines in a photo... this will help me keep each knife very accurate in profile.






I'll have more on these later, I'm excited to get started!
 
This is really cool to see. Almost like being there (but without getting in your way).
