After everything was scribed out I used my chop saw to cut the bar. Here's the results!





And after a whole lot of grinding! This last step took almost the rest of the day. Look out for more updates later!

 
Jelly that more DFK's are going out. These are fell on their way! I'm way overdue for a new addition myself.

Something like that!

I cleaned up the flats but like to do my bevel grinding post heat treat. This is 3V so I may throw on a partial grind pre-ht...
 
^ I grind 99% of my bevels post heat treat... I like the way the steel grinds even though it grinds slower. Also dealing with any warpage is easier. Now with finish grinding 3V goes really slow and uses lots of belts... well worth it or the final results!
 
I cleaned up the flats a bunch more. These are in the kiln for a 2 hour stress relief cycle at 1200f. Next they go in stainless packets and it's heat and quench time!

 
5 more hours of heat treat to go... wish me luck! I need some coffee...
