Well, I'd like to try "everything". But for some time, maybe I should just use these 2 cause they truly are amazing. You're right on this one, idk why would I want an esee if I habe these 2 heirloom worthy knivesI don't get out much, but I love to spend time with my feet in the woods with a knife in my hands. I recently put down my convex Genesis in 3V to start using this Hidden Woodsmen Puukko in 3/32" AEB-L. I am absolutely blown away by how a thin stock Scandi grind knife cuts through a variety of materials. And, of course, I love to have a BK7 within reach as well.
My friend, if you're using a Genesis with a Malanika leuku, why would you want an ESEE? You have an amazing pair of knives.
The ESEE 6 is a great knife and I think an Ashley Game Knife would pair well with it. Something like the PR4 would just be redundant and I would never want to use it over the Genesis anyway. That would give you an extra setup to experiment with and you could even use it as a loaner kit.Well, I'd like to try "everything". Hmm, their 3v seems okay to sharpen for me, definetly diffrent from bark rivers 3vThe ESEE 6 is a great knife and I think an Ashley Game Knife would pair well with it. Anyway, to answer the original question, I choose LTWK A2 over LTWK 3V. Their 3V seems a little more difficult for me to sharpen up to something that feels blazing sharp to me, and the A2 I can get razor sharp every time. I probably could experiment with it more, and spend a little more time using the 3V, and my feelings might change, but right now, I'm happy with the A2. The slightly higher toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance just doesn't sell me on the 3V. If I'm buying a good deal on a used knife, I'll take the 3V, but buying new, I'll go for the A2.
Why the gns? Blade geometry?3v is superior in every aspect besides price and ease of sharpening.
That said a2 is a good steel as well, so if there's a model in only a2 i wouldn't hesitate.
I have an illuminous 5 in 3v and a regular a2 genesis scandi, I much prefer the illuminous handle and blade, the blade is abit thicker than I like but works well. So if you want a thinner scandi the genesis fits the bill. You can't go wrong with either.
If I were to do it again I'd get a GNS in 3v with a Saber grind however.

I think most people Here would pick 3V.........heck, even 3V is losing ground to Cruwear, and now more recently Magnacut. :/
AEB-L.
That's why I got a magnacut leukuDon't forget...

Well my point was AEBL is sometimes taking over for 3V. But I hope you enjoy your new MagnaCut knife C Christian bradfort .![]()
The bigger the knife, the better AEB-L is compared to 3V.
