CPM-D2 Military

Ok Sal, two questions. Will the CPM-D2 military model be available with a coated blade (to enhance corrosion resistance)? And, how about some interesting Paramilitary sprint-runs?

What type of edge does CPM-D2 take? I like to keep a fine, polished edge on my EDCs and I've never been able to get that fine an edge on regular D2.

My guess is that it should polish up better than regular D2 because of smaller carbides more evenly dispersed. It should still be D2, but a better D2. The more I think about it, the more I look foreward to it.

Once again Sal shows he's the Steel junkies best friend. Joe

Well, looks like this will probably be my next knife purchase. I'm a sucker for relatively limited models. :)

*Holy $#^!*
I haven't been on the forums in a while, I've been busy, but this return makes my day! The later S30V/G10 models are great, and the BG42/CF and old 440V/G10 ones were even better (in my opinion---I guess I'm one of few who liked the 440V better than S30V), but D2 and green G10? That will make an amazing camp knife, and that will match my Scout uniform (and Lil' Temperance, at least close enough to buy it for that reason :D)! The only problem is, how will I carry four Militaries? :D

Thanks Mr. Glesser!

God bless you, America, and our men and women overseas.

Most pants have four pockets, so there you go  .

Is that a Millie in your pants or are you just happy to see me?

You know what would be sweet? Get one of those shoulder holster systems from Survival Sheaths. One in the waistband, one in a pocket, and two under my shoulders...:jerkit:

Anyways, that thought just hit me. :D

God bless you, America, and our men and women overseas.

No plans for a coated blade and we're thinking on a para for the balance of the steel.
