Cqc-13 ?

If I'm understanding you correctly there is on both sides of the blade .
Do you use blue loctite on your pivot screw?

Yes, But I waited a few weeks of breaking in. After that I used blue or purple on the pivot and handle screws which worked perfect. And the knife is frozen into perfect action. Otherwise it will back out constantly if you use it alot. But wait for the break in period because there will be alot of loosening and tightening that first week or two.

Check out the thread I just made in the forum. You can see the new parts and the chamfer that I am talking about.
Post a picture too!

What I actually meant is that the detent balls land in different spots on the blade when close. You need to look at the detent travel on the lock bar side and I am sure if it is like mine the detent does not land in the hole and is about 1/8 inch away. This does not matter because the other side is the main detent. I think the lock bar has a ball just for smooth action but does not affect the detent. That way there is more adjustment in the knife for the action that is desired.

I hope that makes sense, running on lots of caffeine.

No worries your making perfect sense and I'm on probably the same level of caffeine as you lol . Here's a picture and it looks like it runs all the way to the hole from the trail wear . Not sure about the other side I can't remember and it's back together lol.

Yup the side your showing is the non lock side. That is correct. I checked your photo earlier. So in a week or two after it breaks in before you loc-tite it. Check it out just for shiggles for me please.

Oh yeah. Happy to hear it. Imagine the action down the road.

For sure next time I open her up I'll check it out .

Yeah I'm surprised I wasn't expecting that big of a difference so it was a pleasant surprise . Still getting a little lock stick periodically it seems the lock bar will fly way over to the right and then will have a little stick to it .
Feels really smooth now though after cleaning and lube . The factory grease was black and not very slippery but probably for breakin I'm guessing .

Think I'll throw a quick lanyard together tonight so I can put this Emerson skull on the 13 .

Yeah just wipe off the contact area with a q tip and maybe a little pencil. I did that a few weeks ago when I did final clean up. It still sticks a little as it should. That is why he uses titanium too. It sticks and prevents lock slip and other issues far better than steel.

I say stick away.

No doubt I like a little stick but not when I have to switch hands and reposition my finger and bite down really hard with my teeth and pop the lock bar loose lol. J/k [emoji14] but she sticks pretty hard periodically . I tried the sharpe marker trick and it didn't help. Maybe I'll try the pencil next ,
Thanks for the tip no pun intended [emoji1]

Nice lanyard.
IM cheap so Im getting a pewter skull for 15 shipped. That is nice though!
No doubt it completes the knife. Im considering another lanyard in 550. My blue one is 1.5mm.

Thanks ! I can't remember which Emerson Skull this was except it was the Jumbo and I think it was around 15 dollars also at BHQ. This 13 is breaking in nicely I've been working it pretty good and pretty much haven't put it down since I got it lol . I'm thinking by Monday it should be good to go . I ended up putting a touch of blue loctite on the pivot screw because it kept backing off from opening it so many times .I cleaned it and found it was greasy I think came that way because I was pretty conservative when I greased everything up hardly using any . Anyway that might of been why it was backing out so I put just a touch of loctite on it so it shouldn't be a problem adjusting it when it breaks it . It's nice only having to use a dime to adjust the pivot [emoji106]🏻

Well used my 13 a lot today and I'm very impressed . What a slicer and cutter !!
It's exceeded my expectations and already is smoothing out 👍🏻
It also surprised me how comfortable it was to carry considering its size .
It's a keeper I'm very happy to say and simply put even though early on in the honey moon I can't put it down and that's a good sign 😎
