maybe. but i sure shouldn't contact brous blades.
because very strange guy Jason (did anybody hear that name?) never answers email. interesting what is he doing, if he isn't really WORKING on knives.
besides, bionic had an awful blade play, blade went very hard and didn't flip at all! you can take shirogorov and it flips even if it has washers, not bearings. because it is mid-tech really. and not some garbage. t4 was overoiled - the white awful grease was even on the cutting edge, so i had to spend many napkins on it. very strange "company"
here i have reate horizon, it IS NOT called any "mid-tech" word by reate but it folds blade under its weight somehow without any blade play, very strange, right? how can strange guy jason explain that? i don't think he can. because he makes simply not a mid-tech. it can't be named with such a word.

+2 on the Wayfarer

I have two and both are perfect.

LOL, You haven't been digging in the trash bin behind Olamic's warehouse have you? :p

no i didn't. i don't like bins))) i don't think there is SUCH a garbage in the bin of any really good warehouse=))) cerucker please can you make pictures of one of it? just like my pictures, the same places, so i can see if there is really any difference. thanks!

Sure. I will try to snap a few when I get home this evening.

My Brous Bionic is flawless. I agree, sounds like you might have gotten a fake.

That is a very very early unit. You bring up good points. We will happily replace it with an updated variant at no cost. I'll send you a message.

Edit: I don't think I can PM you - please shoot an email to eugene@olamiccutlery.com and we'll take care of it.

That's how customer service should be from every company/knifemaker. I have new found respect for Olamic...

It's an ideal.

.....but what happens is that scammers and dirtbags find out about the great customer service and take advantage, and it starts piling up around the bottom line.

I like ideals, and when everyone concerned(manufacturer, dealer/distributor/end user) behave with the Golden Rule in mind, it works....but that is sometimes not the case, and with some companies, it becomes a serious financial liability.

An example would be with Limited Editions.

Just my .02.....Eugene is by the way, an exceptional person and I hope the best for him in business.

Thanks, Steven - means a lot coming from you.
You make a good point about being scammed - and believe me we've been burned before and had to learn a hard lesson from it. For this particular knife (they're all serialized, so I have a record of each one), there is a long and complicated explanation which I won't get into here. Just hope the maker of the thread will get in touch with me soon so we can remedy this.
