Crazy auction price!

I gotta call BS on that.... that's why I hate that new ebay thing hiding the bidders names. Whoever bought that birds beak has more money than sense if it's even a real sale.

I concur. That was way too much money to pay for either of those knives (the BBSHSHII and the GPB Field Grade). Heck I bought a blade very similar to the GPB a coupl of years back for $500, that one should have brought $1500, max. I guess is you have enough money and are motivated then the sky is the limit. America is a great place. I also think that who ever bought them had better be a collector and not someone foolish enough to think they can make a quick profit by flipping them, they will be surprised. I also think the new ebay method of hiding names leaves the way wide open for shills. Unless it is a steal, i won't buy a darned thing off of there. If the SHBA is gone, perhaps the seller made a deal with the high bidder to make it two for one and thus the high price paid for the BBSHSHII. Who knows.

It's not a BS sale, the buyer post here.

If that is true then he is a definite shoe in for Hog, you want to talk about hanging on with tenacity. :D I still think the ebay system is BS though and it is surely protecting shills elsewhere.

I seem to remember a number of people who post here that were happy to pay a Premium price to get Busse knives early on in their impending Hogdom.

I clearly remember telling people to look, take their time and to slow down.

But some times some people need the knife more than the money.

WOOOOOOHOOOOO, I'm rich, at $2000 each for BBSHSHs, I can retire! I'm going to put mine on Epray, gotta go..............................

Wow, if a lowly BBSHSHII is brining that down, I ought to be able to really rake it in for my two axes. :D

Ax Not what your Busse can do for you!!

But rather What you can do for a Busse Ax?

The Busse Axes are a What the Market can bear sort of thing.

The So called One of three Hundred seem to be getting there as well.

Good thing I really have no intention of selling them. :D I just like to make Ducci's heart race.

I'm beginning to think it will be cheaper to just have Jerry make a Custom Shop Axe! :D

This is probably very true. But the one thing that protects you is that you don't have to bid.

I do buy knives from ebay, but I set a limit on what I think it may be worth and move on once the price goes beyond that. With this method they can have as many shills as they want, it won't matter to me.

Recently I saw a Spyderco Military sell for $400 usd. You can get one all day long form one of a thousand places for no more that $124usd.

I like to call buyers like this "wood ducks" because they nod yes to everything. :D :D
