Crazy???

It's only like our other halves stressing over which handbag or shoes to take out with them !!!
Hmmm that might explain why you don't see a lot of female knife collectors. Or maybe they do exist and they can never decide "which purse goes with which knife which goes with which top" and rarely make it out of the house! lol.
The few women i've known who use/appreciate good cutlery are more Tomboys than girly-girls.

You are are GIRLY MAN.
just carry all your knifes with you all the time like real man do..... GIRLS

I object.

I do not have a problem.

Not, not, not, not!

I can quit anytime I want.

Wanna see my new Chris Reeves Mnandi folder? ;)

What do you do with Cheery blossoms ??

Bwaaaahhaaaaa!!!!! That was great:D

However I think the correct answer is you cut it up with the three dozen knives you brought out with you because you couldn't decide which one to take and make a soup out of it. Why..... because you didn't have any room for food packing all those knives. I duno.... just a thought;) :D

i wonder if we should start a twelve step program for this problem.

ok i'll start

hi i'm 555 and i'm a knifeoholic

i wonder if we should start a twelve step program for this problem.

Problem is, falling off the wagon for that particular program is likely to be both painful and bloody.

Fortunately, I do not have a problem and so I don't need no stinkin' program.

Not, not, not.

See how that works?

:D

I'm I just crazy that I sit with my collection spread out before me and think about which knife I should take with me when I venture out in to the woods??? I sometimes vasilate back and forth 3-4 times in a week...The strange thing is that I only face this dillemma with my med sized blades I'm happy with my sak, happy with my machete cant't get setled on my fixed blade though...lately it seems to be a constant struggle between my woodswalker, and my mora clipper...just wanted to make sure I'm not alone out there.
Not crazy at all. Sounds about right.

Yup, home made, thats my trail blazer! :D

Nice work. I'm working on my first blade right now, out of an old sabatier cleaver I found outside. I'll post some pics in a new thread soon.

Riley, maybe you're not crazy. Maybe you're just trying to preserve what sanity you still have left by looking at your knives and other treasures while you dream and plan for future adventures.

On the other hand, considering you live in NYC, maybe it's a lost cause.:D

See if you can picture this scene. It might help you hang onto some shreds of sanity. Works for me. Ten years ago I went out west with a good buddy of mine. One of the places we spent a few days was in a rough board cabin on a ranch a few miles outside of Buffalo, Wyoming. (Look up Buffalo, WY on www.epodunk.com.) As the sun went down we'd sit on the front porch of the cabin with our feet propped up, eating peanuts brought from home and sipping some good whiskey as we watched the antelope bed down near the cattle on the hills across the little dirt road that ran past the ranch. Man, that's living!

Crazy? I thought I could stop when the INFI arrives but already have plans. No more knives after the BACTAC, except for more Busse's. Probably will slow purchases down but I could find a second job to support the hobby but then things will get more out of control. Only way out is cold turkey.

Tell me more about your trail blazer. Where's the blade from? What steel? How thick? What wood is the handle? How'd you attach it?

Cool, btw. Did I mention I like it?? Looks rustic, like maybe Jim Bowie might have used it in a knife fight or something.   Good work!
